That may be true.

It all started pre-season for me - we never clicked into gear once. Players coming back in dribs and drabs didn't help - but it just looked completely wrong. Then Carragher and Skrtel almost killing each other versus Spurs in the first league match sent a lack of confidence coursng through the team. Injuries, mistakes by Rafa and key players, poor refereeing decisions, lack of form... it's made it a really poor season from many perspectives.

Is there any way we can stop these tags? They are way past being funny now.

How do you nurture them though? It's not that easy. Games would be the best solution, but play them in the first team and they're not good enough, play them in reserves, they're too good - and there are not enough games at theat level anyway, so it makes little diffference.

So do you loan them out? Periodically we've needed Babel and Arse have needed Walcott - so it's been important for the clubs they stay. So they stagnate.

A thriving, competitve reserve league would be best for all - but it doesn't exist. Yet another way the FA & PL have fucked up. Shit academy leagues, shit reserve leagues, too many shit international friendlies, fucked up calendars, 39th matches in Macau, play offs for the 4th place in the league, the worst referees in Europe... that's quite a legacy.

yes same number - it's not showing the Wigan home game yet. There should be 9 home and 9 away in the league. All of our Lancashire and Liverpool senior cup matches have been away thus far.

The worst thing on this thread is the SOS clip of a room of Liverpool fans singing Munich. I've been a Liverpool fan all my life and gone to the game for as long as I can remember but fuck me I would never sing a song about the dead just to goad other fans.

 

Although not singing about the dead unfortunately this latest incident will fuel the flames further and the vicious circle will get worse. It's fucking ridiculous and I will never understand or agree with anyone who tries to justify all this shit. And by that I mean mocking Munich or making light about Heysel to wind up Evertonians, Christ there are numerous ways to do that without a banner with connotations to Heysel.

 

The creators may not have meant to glorify Heysel but they will have known that this was the slant that would have been put on it and for that reason I see it as naive at best.

 

There are plenty of folk on here and numerous other forums suggesting that other fans are making shameful comments about our club but by unfurling that banner on Saturday we have given them a reason to start all this shit up and we only have ourselves to blame for the hornets nest they are trying to stir up in the press.

what good would that do? Forward it to the echo maybe - maybe the MP for riding, but not to Juve fans. It would cause offence (in my opinion).
