  1. Thanks for the all the compliments guys, but I have to try to correct this one:

According to Pub Ammo, Finland has the second highest rate of gun crime in the world, after USA!

this is surely a load of bollocks

I think there are few things being mixed in that statement. First, it´s true that there are alot of guns in Finland compared to other western countries, but those guns are mostly for hunting and are usually legal. Secondly, I bet even two of our neighbours (Estonia and Russia) top us in the highest gun crime in the world list !

Thirdly, we often can read especially from this board how finns do most of the suicides in the world and beat their wifes more than others, but these things too are alot of bollocks. You see, suicide is not such a tabu or sin here as it is in some other (catholic) countries, so when there is a suicide, it gets recorded unlike in some other coutries. I think. Also our reputation as a worlds best wife beaters is also a bit shallow theory, because I really don´t think women in countries like Saudi-Arabia are going to call to the police as easily as they do it here if somebody slaps them a bit ! Statistics don´t usually tell this side of the story, or do they ?

Its true that we as a nation drink too much and the long winter can be a bit haunting experience for some of us, but I don´t think we are as ugly people as we look like. I think.

  2. Some fellow countymen had put this on RAWK and I thought to copy and paste it on here too:

    >>>There was an interview in a Finnish newspaper about Lauri couple of days ago. I have translated some bits which might be interesting:

Liverpool Academy scout Ian Barrigan doesn't save any compliments when he describes former JIPPO player Dalla Valle who moved to England in January.

"I would say he is the most natural finisher in the history of our academy. Everybody are talking about how many goals he has scored"

(he has scored 11 goals in as many games)

"Lauri has only once failed to score in U17 matches but apart from that it was his best game here"

Lauri trains with U18 team but has mainly played with lads one year younger than that because the striker of that team has been injured for a long time.

"He must play as an out and out striker even though his best position is behind the main striker"

    Other comments were like

"Even though being such young he realises the importance of right diet and Lauri has the best physique in the whole academy"

"his attitude is very professional as is the case with all the finns (well I'm writing this while working )"

When asked about his weaknesses, both Barrigan and Piet Hamberg replied practically at the same time saying he needs to get better on one on one situations and get more brave to take on oppositions.

I just hope all those nice things said are true."

  3. if anyone at Liverpool thinks players like Bentley, Pennant, Yossi, Crouch, Bellamy etc, will take us to the title or take us anywhere beyond 4th they're mistaken and they need to re-examine the transfer policy.

Well Josemi, Nunez and Biscan won us the CL, so I don´t quite follow your logic TBH...

  4. He doesn't have any charisma but I don't think Torres is the most charismatic either.

BS. Torres is pure charisma. You never get tired of watching him. Owen was a good looking boy too, a bit big headed nerd type though, and someone who could fill a hole in some boy band ála Backstreet Boys, but his charisma only works with 7 year old girls. Others can spot something hollow in him, especially males.

    These are facts.

  5. I personally feel Moores should come forward and say he has made a mistake but will do everything within his power to correct it. This would let any fans who are undecided on if Hicks is good for us or not make their minds up.

We don´t know what the situation behind the walls of LFC is at the moment, but if Moores still thinks he has some power to influence the decision made by Hicks (and Gillett), then he should try to stay diplomatic in his statements, because if he looses all contact with these two, after that it will be just a spitting contest via press, and Hicks, being the fuckwit he is, is free to do whatever he wants with this club.

But maybe you´re right, he should say something. I´m just not sure when.

  6. I brought God into it, because if you believe in a invisble sky daddy, then I automatically reserve the right to question your abilty to arrive at a logical conclusiojn in any subject.

  7. Maybe their intentions are not as good as some people would have us believe.

They are muslims, they can´t be bad people. Besides, why would a groundshare with Everton been such a bad thing ?

    Yep, yep.

  8. If Hicks bought the club outright he'd be committing financial suicide. I don't believe he is that stupid.

Yep, that´s how I see it too. He´s just playing a game of poker via press at the moment.

I could be wrong though

  9. It looks to me like Moores was not the only one who got fooled in this deal, but Gillette too probably didn´t know who he was partnering with when he teamed with Hicks to buy the club.

Hicks had probably crossed his fingers behind his back when they made the promise not to put the club in dept, and thought that he can turn his partners head around this subject later on. Well, he managed to do that, but Gillette got scared from the fans response and decited to bail out. Now the jerk won´t allow that.

    Shit.
