  1. This guy I work with was born and raised in Manchester. Does that automatically make him a cunt? Discuss.

(Remember, I live in the US, so this is rare.)

*EDIT* I say yes. Just wondering what you lot think.

  2. i thought it was shite, saw it twice (for free as I work at a theatre). It was MUCH better the second time around as it made much more sense. If you remotely liked it the first time, I'd suggest seeing it again as the boring elements are much less so when you understand what's happening. Still WAAAAAAAY too long, mind.

  3. not really, just lost a bit of money last night actually. I would rather see a flop that didnt cost us a dime. Not denying the potential of either, just taking the worst-case scenario view of things. Call me a pessimist, but I'm with Rash here; I'd prefer Ashton to the both of them

  4. i think this is a win-win situation financially. I would much rather have somebody like trez flop than, say, kuyt who is unproven in the prem, simply because this trez commands no fee other than wages where as kuyt will cost upwards of 10m. In other words, Trezeguet flopping would be much cheaper than Kuyt flopping.

  5. Support is welcomed by all, but my point was I hope your support is for the right reasons, not just because of Istanbul....

    Glory hunters is the term...

Your support is just as valid as mine if the love is geniune, no matter where your from, wether your a foriegner from Runcorn or the States...

mate i would support this club if we got relegated, or whatever horrible things could happen. it just bothers me that some people automatically discount us OOTers

  6. The only OOT's I hate are the ones who became fans on may 26th 2005, theres plenty of em I bet...

Coming from the USA, it's more than a bit difficult to acquaint yourself with football in general, but to become attached and passionate about a club is much more difficult, as (AT BEST) I maybe see 1 or 2 LFC games a month, if I'm lucky. I have to resort to Bittorrent and internet forums to see my matches. Anyways, as somebody else said, the first time I was in earnest exposed to LFC was the run to the CL final. I hadn't attached myself to a team, but loved the game and fucking HATED the chavs, mancs and arse to name just a few. I was absolutely enchanted by LFC and as such, have become an ardent supporter (hell, I even turned my previously football xenophobe brother into a diehard red). Now, I've never been to Anfield. It's my dream to see the Reds in the flesh. Does that make my support any less valid? I'd certainly hope not.

  7. been thinking about this meself as i read it right after the finall that rafa had interest in him. he tore us a new arse in the final and i would be made up if we got him as he is very versatile from what i've seen of him.

  8. Just saw this on Soccernet...

Liverpool, who have made three signings this week - Mark Gonzalez, Fabio Aurelio and Gabriel Paletta - have denied rekindling their interest in Joaquin, despite sources in Spain insisting a bid has been made involving Jerzy Dudek, Bolo Zenden and Antonio Barragan in a possible exchange.

Parry said: 'This is simply not true, we don't know where this has come from.'

Joaquin has been quoted as saying he would only be interested in joining Liverpool if he cannot secure a move to Real Madrid.

Rash, is that you crying? :tease:

    Cheers
