  1. hello all, have introduced myself before but figured I would again. My name is Patrick, I hail from Seattle, Washington and I love to use the space bar. I also enjoy terrible beer, good hip hop, and the occasional wank. As has been said, I started following the Reds a few years ago, because as an American, you're not born with a traditional footie team. I was drawn to Liverpool by seeing them in the CL, among the few other matches of that season. I honestly can't remember how I found this site, probably after looking for an alternative to KopTalk (not kidding). Also, I'm not a flame merchant. I quite enjoy a bit of light-hearted footie banter, so banter on, forumites.

    Cheers!

  2. off topic, but how is Pork Chop Womack looking this year?

He could be my all-time favourite Seahawk- after Tuiasasopo, Jim Zorn, Dave Kreig, Curt Warner and Brian Bosworth. Well, not Bosworth.

he doesnt look too bad, but hes no hutch. It will be interesting to see how the left side pans out this season.

  3. thanks all, I really appreciate the warm welcome!

DbnRed- Its on my list of things to purchase, I have grown to love this club more and more and it just feels wrong to not be fully aware of the history.

joeyb - Baker, eh? Right by my uni, I'm sure you passed through bellingham then? Great little town, I'm glad Seattle treated you well. Fantastic place, if I can say so myself :). Oh and don't worry about the whole dry patch thing, I've been a fan of the Seatte Seahawks my entire life. They are the synonym for mediocrity, or at least they were for a while.

TheSir- whichever you please mate ;)

  4. Don't forget that many other newspapers, including the Daily Star, ran similar headlines... everyone else has!

To be fair, I haven't done much research, only a look on wikipedia to satisfy the initial need for knowledge, do you have a link to other such headlines?

  5. mainly fell in love on the road to istanbul. I dont get to see much football in the states, or i didnt for awhile. In that year of school, I had a newspaper class that I could watch the CL matches in (the teacher coached the footie team and would put the games on ESPN) and, for some reason, just found myself drawn to the club. It was the Juve game that really got me, and I knew I was a red when I put off sex to jump around and celebrate the final win. That's an awkward thing to tell an American girl, let me tell you.

  6. Just read up on Hillsborough (I'm a newer red and dont know much history). What a fucking rag the s*n is. 'kinhell. I am feckin ANGRY about this. No wonder there is so much hate for that piece of shite.

    RIP to all 96.
