My favourite that people may have missed is the girl who appears in one scene in each of the last 3 seasons but actually has a fleshed out character, just stunning writing.

 

She's the 'posh' sounding white girl who buys some drugs from Hamsterdam and looks down her nose at the dealer trying to chat to her in season 3

 

Next time you see her is season 4 when she's in a corner shop talking about how her pimp loves her and isn't using her for the money

 

Next time you see her is in the NA meeting at the Church when Bubbles gives his amazing speech about getting clean in season 5.

 

Did everyone notice this because it took me till literally the 4th or 5th time I watched it through to notice it was the same girl.

 

Best programme ever.

I've only seen every episode once but I did Frank Sabotka's son (he was a main character in season 2, cant think of his name right now) turning up in series 4 I think it was, just strolling around watching whatever was going on. Possibly Hamsterdam time

Persevere with The National mate, it doesn't hit you at first but the more and more you listen to the album the more you appreciate them. The National and Arcade Fire are the two best bands of the last 10 years for me.

Heard their song 'Colours' on the radio so looked up a couple others and liked them too

As a comparison to these 2 bands it would be like The Suburbs album and some of The Shins stuff

I did Route 66 last summer in 3 weeks

Was organised by Virgin Holidays and included the flights to Chicago and home from LAX. Accomodation and bog standard car were also included

I take the point made about it slightly restricting where you have to be on any given night but they did try to give more time in the better spots - Chicago, Vegas, St Louis, Santa Barbara etc. and just a night in the smaller places

We actually took an extra night in Vegas come to think of it instaed of Flagstaff I think it was. Vegas hotels were dirt cheap anyway

This was the league from last year. people have mentioned the league set up this year is being hijacked by fans of other clubs. This one just needs to be reactivated by the administrator (Lunatic) and everyone from last year will automatically be re-entered

I managed to win the TLW league the year before (113th over the whole game actually if I do say so myself), but had a pretty torrid time last year (came 13th or something in the TLW)...

 

It took me too long to work out that it was all about the strikers rather than the midfielders last year which was a shift from previous years approach

 

Anyway, looking forward to next season

If you don't use your free transfer then you'll be able to make an additional free transfer the following gameweek. These saved transfers don't accumulate and can only be used the following gameweek. If you have two free transfers in a gameweek and only use one, the other will be lost.
