How does Guardiola have knowledge of our academy?
I find it completely off topic for him to say, unless our academy is currently playing against theirs or something.
I'm fairly sure we did play against Barcelona in a youth tournament in Spain last season.

Balotelli did something to Ferdinand that made him snap, proves he's not completely useless like some people say.
Apparently Balotelli said "look after my daughter for me" to Rio, whose girlfriend gave birth this morning.
That's some quality sledging from Mario

We'd have to stick out with Torres till we could get him in the summer.

He's joined the Texas Rangers

Be interesting to see whether Agger was genuinely injured or just feeling a touch below par? And what Kenny makes of it.
Shut up you shit stirring cunt

This blows me away --- Why the fuck would the scout be watching Bremen's backline and picking Mertesacker over Naldo? Naldo is twice the defender, IMO.
He's just as tall, just as dominant in the air, faster, stronger, better on the ball, smashes a freekick like Roberto Carlos, etc.
It doesn't sound like he'd be able to get a work permit.

I think Commoli will have the biggest say on the new boss
The new guy will mostly be responsible for running the commercial side of the LFC, so Commoli will have no input on the appointment.

I'd prefer David Dein

I know we're not getting much to Torres. But the man is fucking infuriating me. His attitude is shit, his movement is shit and he's completely acting like a cunt.
Fucking grow a pair
He's not Bobby Zamora you stupid cunt.

I'd rather BOTH the manager and the player stopped making comments about the other in public. It's pretty obvious that these two don't see eye to eye, so I'd put money on Agger being off over the transfer window. I'm sure he'd do well in Italy where he wouldn't struggle with the physical side of things or have his aerial weaknesses exposed.
It's Hodgson that keeps prattling on about the fact that they have problems. I would also stick could money on the fact that Hodgson will be out the door before Agger.

People said they'd sue if they lost the case, no big surprise really.
It's telling he wouldn't chance his arm in the Appeals court and had to get a Texan judge to the job

I'd have a local ex player, Thommo, Aldo? If Kenny is available, I'd give it to him first.
Reade would be a good choice too tbh.
Is Rogan Taylor - Jamie Kanwar?
I'd prefer we actually some that goes to games and can inform the board about fan issues.

For all we know if the take over completes the players may well pick up their performances and we go on a good run of form.
A good run of form isn't going to sort this mess out.
To those that blame the players and not the tactics or manager, just take a look at this picture.I just posted this in the Poulsen thread, but it actually says a shit load of things about how abysmal the tactics are at the moment. This is an image moments before the second Blackpool goal.
Poulsen is mostly to blame because the space where he's supposed to be is the massive area where nobody other than the ref and Taylor-Fletcher are. But just look at what else we've got going on. Carragher is behind Poulsen at the bottom of the picture, way out of position, the pair of them. Soto has come out of the defence to cover Carragher, presumably, so what's Gerrard doing there too?
That leaves Johnson covering Soto and a massive gap at rightback which another Blackpool player's about to run in to. I presume that's Kuyt next to him having to peg it back to cover Johnson, who's covering Soto, who's covering Carragher, who's stood next to Poulsen, who shouldn't even be over there.
It's a fucking shambles basically.

I've been reliably informed that Ayre, Purslow and Broughton this week blocked a refinancing offer that Hicks and Gillett put to the board. They were using the ground Melwood etc up as clout to get refinance.
Coop you maybe right here, maybe they have no power at all to carry out the sackings today. His statement tonight fills me with a little hope.
atk,
Do you have the name of company that was willing to provide the finance so we an start e-mailing them?
-
One thing in the Hicks statement is "HE DOES NOT HAVE THE REFINANCING MONEY" thank fuck for that. Purslow and Ayre must have really done there homework.
Hicks and Gillett "your sacked Ayre and Purslow"
Purslow(with cock banner in hand) "oh no were not".
RBS need to call it in now. Feel a little better after his statement.
I must I've totally misjudged Broughton, Purslow and Ayre.
RBS stitched them up like kippers by forcing them to hand all power over to Broughton and the board.

Kelly was on the bench, that said he had a terrible game against Utrecht and left back is not a natural position for him at all.
Youth will get you the sack as well according to Hodgson.
After the Konchesky deal I'm shit scared that he'll decimate the youth squad if he's still here in Jan.
-
I genuinely can't believe that people think we're in this mess because of Hodgson.

Yes mate. But I am not a wum or any of that shite.
are you Mr Rossi?

Yet the Chilean and Spanish press reported he wanted to back to Chile or stay in Spain.
Pellegrini se ve como técnico de Chile :: Deportes
You'll have to ask Kenny because he was the one who interviewed Pellegrini. My guess is that the hierarchy wanted a coach who in theory knew how the premiership worked :(
Stop digging

Is that the same Pellegrini who was interviewed for the job, and according to his agent turned us down because he wanted to stay in Spain or go back to coaching the Chilean national team?
"I would have loved it [the Liverpool job] but they opted for Roy Hodgson because they preferred an English coach," he noted before giving his full backing to the current Roja coach.

Classy fans we have these days. If people thought the anti-Rafa Taliban were bad, then whast does it make the fanatics on here now? The Anti-Roy Al-Qaeda presumably? (ARAQ)
Doesn't surprise me at all, however, that on the eve of what is hopefully the biggest protest yet against the Yanks, all some posters want to do is have a go at a manager who's inherited a hopeless situation (and on the whole a hopeless squad in my view). Mind you, I can't help but feel that some of our fanbase deserve the owners we have got.
I'm delighted Kenny didn't take the job in the summer because I hate to think of him receiving this level of abuse.
ps - I wonder how many people were calling for GH's head after the home defeat against Watford? I can only guess most of you weren't old enough to remember that monstrosity (and he'd been at the club for a year then anyway)...
Please tell me what Roy has done that marks him out as better candidate than Manuel Pellegrini?
