And yes it's a funny name and yes he was the lad questioned about a rape this season, to which he was released without charge I believe
He's on bail pending trial.
-
He's got technique, but a head ten times bigger than his talent. Ludicrous stories of Real and Barca (and everyone else) looking at him have been circulating for months. My guess is his agent is pushing stories in the papers as they have decided to get a contract for him before he's found out.
We've been very openly scouting games all over europe. How many shots of Commoli, Kenny or Sammy at QPR games have you seen? None? Yep... none.
Commoli's been to see QPR at least twice this season - the first time was back in November when they played Cardiff and Hodgson apparently wanted us to go in for Bothroyd in January.
-
I would argue that it's probably too early to make a call about his LFC career, but that doesn't mean you can't express an opinion.
For example, I said David N'Gog was fucking shit from Day One. And I was right.
Had your fucking KopTalk membership run out by then?

I feel like I wasn't the "straight man" in that exchange.
That can hardly have been a first.
In terms of this thread, no-one's going to lose sleep if we bin him off, surely? But he will need replacing, because gifted though Pacheco is, he's also a gifted dwarf and the idea of him stepping in for Carroll is just nuts. Personally, I'd throw Morgan a million for Steven Fletcher when Wolves go down.
-
Could have been worse. When Hodgson was here, we were in for Jay Bothroyd.
-
Now I want to read what other people believe in, and why.
Making it impossible for anyone but the children of the wealthy to attend a leading university (or ideally any university).
Dismantling vast swathes of the NHS for the benefit of private healthcare companies and big pharmaceuticals.
Allowing banks, including those still propped up by the taxpayer, to pay out obscene bonuses to its senior employees while overseeing a slate of cuts that not only bring misery to millions across the country but are widely seen as being driven not by economics at all, but ideology.
And that's why I voted LibDem.

I'm not sure what Agger could be blamed for today apart from getting sick and being unable to come out for the second half – in the first, he reminded us one of the things we've been so badly missing, which is a defender with a bit of composure and basic passing ability.
You have to be coming at things from a pretty sad, strange angle to watch the Greek and Skrtel today and then decide to start a thread slagging off Agger.

Do you mean the right back on loan from Spurs, Kyle Walker?
Walker is a very, very talented player. He'll be Tottenham's first choice RB next season and will have Johnson out of the England side shortly afterwards. (I'm working on the assumption Kelly will have moved to CB by then).
-
We are where we are. We've now got another opportunity to 'steady the ship'. Let's hope the fans can have realistic expectations.
But who will you patronise then?
-
There seems to be a lot of varying reports over this. Givet, who went in the challenge with Mackie, was apparently also carried off.
Varying reports? It was a 50/50 ball, both players were injured - but Diouf went over and said the aforementioned to Mackie before the stretcher arrived.
-
The QPR midfielder Jamie Mackie had his leg broken in two places at Blackburn this afternoon - Diouf went over while he was lying on the floor and told him "Fuck you and fuck your leg."
-
You've always had a nice way with the lingo, but you must know using it on someone who compares Benitez with Shankly is like doing Cruyff turns on a three year old having his first kick of a ball.
-
You'd think the Hodgopologists would be more careful bringing Inter into the conversation, given the circumstances in which their man left the San Siro. Benitez may have only last six months, but he wasn't last seen having coins and lighters thrown at him by the crowd, was he?
-
Had Benitez stayed, we'd have made a profit, what with Torres and Gerrard going last summer.
God the sound of that barrel being scraped is quite something, isn't it?
-
Just out of interest, who other than Hodgson are people now saying would have a) realistically come here in the summer, and b) done a better job?
Realistic now, girls, and let's try not to rewrite history too much to save face, eh?
-
The ironic thing is the people who wanted Rafa out were right - looking at the job he did at Inter.
Just because Hodgson has been woeful, doesn't mean Rafa wasn't rightfully sacked!
The point is, for all the "any manager in football would crawl across broken glass to manage us" bollocks that was spouted all last season, neither Mourinho or Hiddink or anyone with any kind of comparable track record would have come near us under the previous owners.
It was always going to be Hodgson or someone of his ilk coming in once Benitez was out the door, something which was routinely, deliberately overlooked all last year. Getting shot of Rafa and bringing in Hodgson were, at that stage, two halves of the same plan.
Personally, I think it reflects better on people to admit they wanted Hodgson last summer and got it horribly wrong, rather than attempting to wash their hands of it all by claiming they wanted Mourinho et al - because that was NEVER going to happen.
-
The thing is first we have to play Sparta Praha and if we can beat them then its the winner of Braga-Lech Poznan then we find ourselves in the quarter finals and I would be lying if I said I did not fancy our chances against the already mentioned teams.
I fancied us against Northampton. Funny old world, eh?
-
All true, it's just that the tone of your post reads to me as if we're on the brink of winning one.
We're in the last 32. It seems that's as good as winning it these days.
-
The Carragher comment is more than just discussion about his future, it's the usual "he got my Wafa fired so he did!" fuckwittery that Fanning and his poisoned poisonous ilk can't let go.
Pretend otherwise if you want.
Is it OK to just think he's a liability on the pitch and that players shouldn't have the kind of influence on the club as a whole that he and Gerrard clearly do? Just so I know the ground rules like.
-
Fanning's right in pointing out that if we're going to move forward as a club then the farce of having the manager (whoever he is) effectively working under Gerrard and Carragher has to end.
-
Isn't it quite sad that a lame duck manager who will be gone at some point anyway is keeping 8,000 plus fans away but under Gillett and Hicks ownership a 35,000 crowd on a Saturday 3pm Kick off despite the talk of boycotts etc would have been unthinkable. Priorities, priorities eh.
Agreed - it was sad that so many people kept putting money into Hicks and Gillet's pockets throughout their time at the club.
-
When did polls and petitions about the manager stop being embarrassing? I must have missed that email.
It's probably in a folder with the message about what an abject idea it was appointing Hodgson in the first place. Didn't you miss that one too?
-
Yes, but could Rafa carry these shades off? I don't think so.
"Royalism" does seem to have gone a bit quiet lately.
-
Biggest problem with this club we always look back and never forwards
Wise, wise words. The club wasn't built on nostalgia and sentiment, it was built on being clinical, even ruthless, in the pursuit of being the best. I'm glad Kenny's name got sung this week as it may hasten the current manager's exit, but actually wanting him appointed in the cold light of reality is misty-eyed bollocks.

For literally twelve years all people have done is whine about the fact we buy "mediocre foreign shite" instead of "promising young English players" and no-one's ever been good enough to wear the shirt when they sign (apart from Ziege, Kewell and Joe Cole).
Dependable, our fans.
