Anyone been?
I've got 3 days there next week at a conference. What is there to sneak off and see/do?
Been there a few times and a great place it is to. Spains 3rd largest city, the actual centre is quite compact and most of the action takes place of the plaza de la virgin, down calle caballeros if I remenber the name right. Great Bar doen there called Jonny Maracas and a good few others as well, all around that area, remember a converted chemist I think called St Jaume which does a mean Agua de Valencia and next to that is a more upmarket wine bar type of place, round the corner is a place called cafe bolseria also a good call.
For sightseeing the city of Arts and sciences is worth some time as is the market where you can get a decent paella from the stands outside. If the weather is ok have lunch down by the beach. All in all a nice friendly city, shopping is on the calle colon and the restored mercado colon has a few bars inside for a drink just off the shopping area. Enjoy

There is always a certain Swede who is out of a job in the summer perhaps Real might be looking in that direction especially with his friend David already there

Doesn't the outside change colour depending on whose playing? Fantastic stadium

I'd love to know where spurs get the money from. Evidently they've had the highest attendances as a % of capacity and they charge a fortune to get in but their capacity is lower than ours they have less prize, tv money than us etc etc just how come they can spend £9m on a 16 year old after their summer spend.

wouldn't be suprised to see Kewell on the pitch tonight and it'll be 1:0 2nd half goal from Crouch.

Agreed. Actually any pub in Kirkby is bad. Gino's, Kingy, Falcon etc. I could go on all day.
When much younger and in the sixth form at roughwood a few of us used to do a pint in every pub in Kirkby on a Friday night, worst places we found were the mollyneux and the bar in the peacock. I'd been drinking in the peacock for years before I even knew they had a bar and when I went in found out why we hadn't looked for it. Everything and i mean everything was screwed down to the floor. Mind a guy I knew once ran that big pub in Huyton can't remember the name and he tells the story of a hot summer when a customer asked him to open a window no can do all closed shut not just closed so the customer throws a stool threw it and then point out that fixed it, nice and I do know it wasn't the bluebell i heard that was worse. Anyway drinking in th ebar at the peacock in kirkby is as bad as it gets

Does any one know if we had a sell on clause with him and if so how much?

Owen was never really concerned with Liverpool. He and his advisors are more concerned over England. He'll never win trophies with newcastle, so that chestnut is laid to rest but he'll play and he wants to keep his England place to keep his all important external contracts in place. We don't need him and lets wait and see what happens in th enext 2 days before moaning at the board at not signing a player that Real didn't want to sell for us and who didn't insist on forcing the club of his choice a la Milan Baros

Sometimes Anfield isn't full...
But this has more to do with the ticket office than demand. I cannot believe that Liverpool with a functioning ticket office would not sell out every premiership game
-
I managed to have premiership football today from the Villa game through to the City game and of course the mighty reds between the 2. Great quality all the way through so many thanks for the initial post and link to the site

Just Harry harris on sky, I know he's a wanker but he seemed to allude to money a lot 100K from us 125K from Chelsea and chance of more bonuses for winning trophies.
Could be the answer is just greed

If they do go to the world champs, they just play the "semi" and the "final" I think, as do S American champs. If they need to acclimatise why not a friendly warm up against one of the yeams we were due to play, take it nice and easy, pocket the money and have a warm up

nobody yet put in Ray Kennedy, Paisley always use to state that he was the one most of Europe feared. No arguments with any name put forward, and that is the thing about this club we've got so many greats to choose from

"Only the street traders with the untouched pile of "No.9 Diouf" T-shirts seem disappointed."
From the icliverpool report from Istanbul
So there goes another group of people with reason to dislike him

Just had a look on skyscanner.net, just possible to fly to anatalya(??) airport one way and back from Izmir tuesday out from london about £58 and same price back, not sure how far the distances are though but the site may be worth a look as it is supposed to look through all the low cost carriers for you

How can you be a diaspora in Worcestire? Pretty saucy, if you ask me.
As a poor Kirkby boy had to move somewhere for a job, its the home of Elgar and its another land of hope and glory

finnan lost nothing in comparison with any othe defender tonight, fantastic performance. Traore put in some great blocks, Sami stood tall and Carra was a GOD

not my favourite but he does a great santa claus and rosalita is best seen live, the missus still loves dancing in the dark, we met at that time ahh!!
Robbie Fowler

To what extent was robbie signed as simply just cover? We needed someone in january, probably could not get who we wanted and are waiting for the summer with someone already lined up. Robbie is probably aware that he is playing for a 1 year extension which he will get as it would look bad on all involved if he didn't get it. He probably knows what his role is and seems to be happy with it as there have been no leaks to suggest otherwise.
The fact that the rest of the forwards have shown no inclination to score simply muddies the waters and starts the robbie must always play and start discussion. He is simply just cover, end of.
