  1. Judging by the figures posted by SuperJari and including Mihaylov it appears that the net spend is about zero. For that I included Joe Cole as a 6m signing on fee. If/When we sell Masch for 18m it will mean we have brought in 18m this transfer window. Again another transfer window where the Yanks have made money. This money needs to be reinvested and more so. We need a LB - Koncheskey seems to be almost done. Creative Midfielder and Centre Forward at the very least. Unfortunately I can not see this happening!!!!!
  2. I agree with you here, havent seen to much of him but from what I have seen he looks really promising. It would be nice if at least one of the two (Robinson and Flanagan) could make it in the near future if not both!!
  3. Thanks for post. For my two pence worth I believe he will stay this summer. I dont see anyone spending the money quoted on a player whilst there are concerns over his injuries. Whether Torres wants to stay or not, (I think he does), the money we (LFC) would be looking for would be £50m plus and who would spend that (apart from maybe Citeh) on a crock....
  4. I would bite there hands off for that figure. Best player on the pitch when Stuttgart played Barca and would be a good, versatile player for that figure!
  5. Well I did have some banter with my brother about this in relation to the Barry saga. MON with his ridiculous valuations would mean this is a no go!!:wallbutt:
  6. You are more than likely right. You only have to look at some of out own forums. to me SW seems to be a very down to earth lad so could not see him causing problems. out of interest does anyone know where he lives...area wise not exact address ;)
  7. Ha ha, You may have explainned in an other thread so my apologies if going over old ground  I think he is a solid LB and would do a job for us!!
  8. was meant to post this for discussion the other day. My brother (for his sins) is a Villa fan. Anyhow he mentioned to me the other day that there are lots of RUMOURS that SW has fallen out with O'Neill (MON). Apparently MON and SW have had an arguement because SW will not move closer to the Midlands. There are no links, I am just posting to see what peoples thought are on him returning...LB is an area we are short on? Whilst I would like a more athletic LB, I have always liked SW. I dont think he is the best out there by far but would be more than happy to see him in a a red shirt (call me sentimental). Also my other bro used to play with him at coventry when he won there player of the year award and he said that he is a top lad and is football through and through. I think he was hindered by injuries whilst with ourselves (LFC). Would you have him back?
  9. I kind of agree here, good points. At his first spell at Man city he was really good, however, I think his (unwise) move to Chelsea has not seen him develop to the player he could have been. Still young but frustrates the hell out of me, I have smashed enough household items in the last season for SWP to sign. As for number 7...... I agree we need to look for a more direct wide player, however, at this moment in time I am suffering from a mental block and can not think of many in our price range.
  10. I may be mistaken, but I am sure the code says something if you read it right to left.....
  11. Would like to see him sign, would be a bold move from him due to other options and him being a London Town boy. My only worry is that roys comments make it sound that Cecil is having to much influence on targets....
  12. You are quite right. We as a club have, which is why I mentioned at the bottom. As fans we have shown we can stick together through the toughest of times, worse times than what is happening at present. At the moment although no way comparable we need to pull together like before and stand proud and support the team and manager, try to force out the diesease as we are LIVERPOOL FC not only one of the most successful team in England and the world but most importantly the most unique!!
  13. Hello all, Only recently registered but been a bit of lurker for past few years so please dont shoot us down. At the moment we as a club are going through the hardest period any of us can remember. Everyone knows the sh*t that is going on and there is so much smoke and mirrors it is unbelivable. Not the way LFC used to act, the Americans are turning us all into whinging, b*tching morons attacking each other. I was a Rafa fan, however rightly or wrongly he got dragged into the back stabbing and manipulating side of the club. whether he was acting in the interests of himself or the club and fans (I would like to think the later) it was a time for a change. Too many bad stories for me to think he had the full support of the players. Like most people, I had higher thoughts for our new manager, most notably the King!! however, I am a Liverpool fan and I will support Roy Hodgson to the Hilt, this guy has built up a well respected opinion from many people in the game and i for one do not think he is going to put this on the line to take a job where he is only here to take away the flak from the board. We are Liverpool fans and we have faced worst traversties than this and showed the world what we stand for, so lets all pull together and act in unity, support the manager. Lets focus our amonisity towards the board and give the man a chacne. I believe he will do us proud !!
  14. Great player at what he does, one of the few performers this season (apart from first month or so). Would like him to stay but he is replaceable. Hopefully we can get a bit of a bidding war going although I think it will only end up in Dollars!! swap deal would be best, would prefer that santon although i think it would be a bad move from Rafa for the inter faithful.
