I don`t agree. I think we have the players to keep the ball in the team and break down defences, but there seem to be no plan, structure or pattern in our attacking play, wihich again leads to wrong choices and misplaced passes.

Even the best ones can burn out. It is sad to see him now, totally flat and low on energy. He is no miracle worker these days, that’s for sure. We have not scored from open play in the last 4 matches. He has absolutely no clue how to fix it. The last 20 minutes tonight has to be top 5 worst performance from a Liverpool team in the last 30 years. He really need this break from football. It will be good for him and us. I look forward to seeing fresh faces with fresh ideas in the dugout.

This time I disagree with you on a couple of points: The misses from Jota, Nunez, and Salah was horrendous. A good striker is orientated even in hasty situations or have an instinct for the right finish. You would never see Rush, Kane, Lewandovski or Fowler miss in those situations. You call a win on thursday. I see that as very unlikely, I think people overlook how solid and well structured this Atalanta side is.

The «mentality monsters» thing is a myth. Ok, we have done many comebacks in important matches during a season, in situations where we have been outsiders for the title. But we never stand the test when we are close to the line, especially not when it is ours to lose. Many say that City won it by scoring three goals against Villa in 5 minutes in may 2022. The fact is they would have won it anyway. After Mane scored in the 24th minute we had 1-1 at home against Wolves. Villa took the lead against City after 39 minutes, meaning we would be champions if we scored against Wolves. Villa later went 2 up, but we were nowhere near scoring. We played with our shoulders above our head, everything was flat and nervy. We could have played 5 hours without scoring. Then City scored three in 5 minutes, and we no longer had anything to lose. We started playing without nerves and scored two more. The only way for this team to win league is to create a big lead on the table top, like in the title winning season.

Yes they are a cheating bunch, yes they will win their last 6, yes we have been fucked by refs and VAR, and yes, we have overperformed given the circumstances DESPITE that we had it all in our hands, and we managed to fuck it up by not beating a horrendous United side and by losing at home to fucking Crystal Palace. That is the worst in this.

I struggle to find a team in the PL with a weaker attacking line-up than us. Even teams like Bournemouth are better equipped in the attacking department. How did we let it come to this?
