  1. How are the mighty fallen Meaning: The previously powerful are now reduced. Origin This expression derives from the Bible. The earliest version in English is found in the Great Bible, Samuel 1:19, 1539: Oh howe are the myghtie ouerthrowen. The currently used 'fallen' version is found in the King James version 1611 and is a demonstration of David's lament over Saul and Jonathan.
  2. I spoke to Thorstein Helstad, a former Brann (Bergen) player who plays with Le Tallec in Le Mans, and he told med that Le Tallec was a terrific player in training, but he seldom scors goals.
  3. oh fuck it - it's only football........
  4. Yeah I know it's a decent post and he is probably a good lad - it was just the fact that they think that this is their chance to win a European trophy, and I can't see they doing that. Bayern looks certain to win it in my opinion.
  5. Yeah I know - we don't stand much of a chance, we were dead lucky to go through our group. But it would taste so good, and stranger things have happened. Hopefully Eirik Bakke will show some of the dirty tackling he learnt in Leeds. CHEYROU scored against us and missed a pen in the last game against Zagreb which could have cost us the match agaist everton. He wont stop haunting me - the new ZZ my ass.
  6. I'm starting to really not like them, look at this post: Fra en engelsk supporter(from a english supporter): "can't wait for this tie in Norway I have been wondering for ages what an LFC fan looks like. Coming from Liverpool I never get to see any" :D http://vg.transact.no/Item.asp?GroupID=116&Group=Fotball+%2D+Premier+League&ThreadID=1318943&Thread=Everton+m%F8ter+Brann&Page=-1
  7. Thank you mate. Some everton supporter on the Brann homepage thinks that this is their chance to win an european trophy. Please let us beat them... http://forum.brann.no/read.php?2,5145 Re: Everton vs. Brann Posted by: Everton#1 (IP Logged) Date: December 21, 2007 03:08PM Everton fans are all taking this very seriously because we have not won any trophies in 12 years. We believe this is our chance to win a European trophy, and we will bring huge numbers of fans to Norway as we have in our other games. We took 8,000 fans to Nuremburg in Germany! Personally, I have enormous respect for any Champion, and Brann are Champions of their league, so this will be a tough game. I am happy because we didn't have to play teams with nasty fans like Galatasaary e.t.c - the Norweigan fans seem great! At the moment Everton have been brilliant, 13 games unbeaten (11 wins and 2 draws), but who knows what will happen in February?
  8. Hi. My team Brann is gonna play everton in the next round of the Uefa cup. Brann won the league in Norway for the first time since 1963, so this has been a very good football year for me(in Norway). To make this year even greater it would have been lovely to beat everton, even though they are great in Europe  The papers here in Bergen writes about the match and they have an interview with some guy from Bergen who is an everton supporter http://www.bt.no/sport/article464950.ece#kommentarer and he goes on about how everton is the peoples club and the usual bullshit. Another poster says the city of Liverpool is 70% everton and 30% Liverpool, I'm just wondering if somebody has a link to some official numbers of how the support is divided?

Yes - he's the one. He has his own "mental coach", Valentin Hobel (great name), who looks like a cult leader. Form his homepage about Valentin Hobel: "From the beginning on he was inspired from my attitude and we fixed the agreement that he would lead me through my whole career as my personal coach. So we decided the most important points for us and since then we worked on our philosophy. "My career and work as an ideal for the sport youth" With that motto i experienced the beautiful and the dark sides of football very intensiv and had always the motivation to work much and professionally.........
