Greatest British film ever made?

Recommended Posts

so long as no fucking guy ritchie films get a vote - job's a good un, democracy or not he's a fucking gobshite who writes in cliche's... The Italian Job is a good call, some of the old ealing comedies with Peter Sellers also. Gandhi, Flight of the Phoenix, Brazil, the St Trinian's went down well during summer holidays years ago, and Trainspotting was fucking amazing when it came out - took uk cinema in a new direction

A couple of years ago I watched a movie about a couple of druggies, I have no idea what it was called but I do still remember almost every bit of it(except the fucking name, I keep thinking of birdwatching for some reason, but Google didn't turn anything up), and I remember thinking the charachter Diane was good looking, I'm pretty sure it was a British movie, it did more to keep me off drugs than anything else, if it is British it gets my vote, just ignore this spazzy post otherwise.

Life of Brian is also a very good shout, probably the only thing my dad and I both find funny, I doubt there will ever be a movie like that again, you just can't get sick of it no matter how many times you watch it, I've tried, believe me, you just can't.

I didn't mean "As American as Osama Bin Laden", obviously, cause that makes no sense in this context.

Damn you and your wily ways, Simon.

I know how you meant Hammy.
