Terminator 4: Salvation

Christian Bale has signed up for 3 more films! Great news if script is right. Apparently he's John Connor in 2038.

I heard a wicked little rumour that the team behind Superbad and the 40 Year Old Virgin are interested in a remake/ new attempt at Ghostbusters. Being a fan of the originals, and also a fan of Apatow and Rogen et al, I think that would actually be quite good.

A game is out later this year that's based upon a script by the original writers. I think it may be based upon the story that got mentioned back in 2005 here.

Here's a more recent story, mooting the use of 3d animation. Along the lines of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I assume.

All sorts of legal goings on with Watchmen over the copyright ownership of the film, Fox allegedly threatened to stop WB releasing the film, but have since retracted that threat. I fear we've not heard the last of this.

Of the other films mentioned here in this thread that I have seen, Step Brothers is fantastic, Tropic Thunder is OK, and Hellboy 2 does not disappoint, though in my opinion is not as good as the first.

I can't see the film being anywhere near the same quality as the original book and fear the same sort of treatment that we saw with V for Vendetta.

Read some quotes from Kevin Smith who has watched the current version of the film and he thinks they've pulled it off: Link

It should be safe to get your hopes up for an excellent film. Don't think V for Vendetta, think Sin City and 300. I'm betting Frank Miller gets this pretty close to correct, and I'm looking forward to another great film.

From that trailer it looks perfect. I do so hope that they haven't fucked it up. (Not that V for Vendetta was entirely awful mind you, just could have been better.)
