A continuation of a discussion I was having with my Dad after the Utd game on Sunday. So realistically what now would be a ‘good’ season? Me and the old fella both agreed that 5th would be a good season under the circumstances and 7th had to be the absolute minimum for the manager to keep his job. What do you think?

After a frustrating mid-week performance it'd be nice to take the positives into the next game, an ever impressive Allen, Gerrard breaking forward well and some youngsters getting game time. Add to this the probably debut of Sahin and the fascinating football we've shown signs of playing we should be able to beat these on Sunday. As for a team, no one knows how the transfer window will end but from today's point of view I'd go with a team consisting of; -----------Reina----------- Johnson-Skrtel-Agger-Enrique --------Sahin-Allen--------- ----------Gerrard----------- Suarez----Borini----Sterling Bench:GK, Kelly, Carragher, Henderson, Assaidi, Morgan, Downing Obviously the bench is most likely to change, if a new striker comes in or 2 or more new players I'm expecting Morgan and Downing to be dropped.

what sort of team does everyone want to see for this? I think any side we put out should realistically be able to beat these but aside from these two legs the Leverkusen game is all they have before the league starts think I'd go --------------Doni*-------------- Kelly----Skrtel----Agger---Enrique -----Henderson--Adam--Shelvey--- Cole----------Borini-----------Sterling subs Jones Carra Johnson Lucas Stevie Downing Morgan *assuming Doni still exists think Johnson's had a bit of an injury so would start Kelly and wouldn't risk Stevie or Lucas with a full game either but look to get them on, realistically though I don't care providing Agger and Skrtel get cup tied!

May as well start it because it's doing my nut in not seeing a match thread on the day of the game. Three points to hopefully finish the season above Everton, but I'm off the boozer later to watch the Manc games and I'll have to catch up on this on MOTD later.
