  1. Dogs rule cats drool! My Bichon Frise. My Labrador. FUCK YEAH!
  2. Me and Lady Dangerously are thinking of getting a dog. We've both always wanted one but never been allowed by parents when we were growing up but as we're living together we think may go for it. Our work schedules mean that I leave at 8am and she is back at 4pm so it is a sizeable time of alone time for it so we were erring towards getting an adult or older dog from a rescue centre which presumably would be more used to that kind of arrangement. We live within 10 minutes walk of a large park and she drives so trips to the beach/other outdoor places (which we both enjoy dogless at the minute) wouldn't be a problem. I know lots of GFers have dogs and just want a bit of advice on the practicalities of dog ownership and also specifically if anyone has had experience getting one from the dogs trust or a similar charity. Cheers
