  2. It's always the same boring stuff. They have the opportunity to show some really different material, but it is just exactly the same as listening to daytime Radio One. I just got in from walking the dog, switched on, and The fucking Fratellis are on playing that rancid recrement they do. Poor show.
  3. Looking forward to the Diaz - Pacquiao (sp) fight over the weekend. Normally would fancy Manny to win fairly comfortably & I note he is 1/5 with William Hills , but having seen his last fight I am wondering if the hard fights are catching up with him a bit. I am also interested in the Liverpool lad Ajetovic fighting over in Australia for the IBO Middleweight title. He is fighting a very useful guy in Daniel Veale who is strongly fancied to win. My dad used to go to a weekly quiz in a pub in Fazakerley & sat with a lot of the older Liverpool boxing trainers & boxers , and they were all full of tales about Ajetovic. He is a massive Red who goes to every game home and away whether he is supposed to be training for fights or not. He disappeared for a year or so 'injured' which was allegedly useful as it coincided with a lengthy visit to one of her majesty's establishments up north. He has built up an excellent amateur record & a 16-1-1 pro record without basically ever being serious & most interestingly he is reported by the lads he sparred with as having a punch like a mule & they raved over the talent he has if he gets serious. I have had a little dabble on him to win by KO/TKO @ 4/1.
  4. Your favourite Liverpool player of all time and Who is the best Liverpool player that you´ve seen in your lifetime watching LFC Was just asked who my favourite Liverpool player was which made me think that my favourite Liverpool player wasnt the best Liverpool player.
  5. Bit of fun I came out as having a real age of 29.3 ( I'm nearly 41 ) and a life expectancy of 86.7 which means I have 16700 more days to go !!! http://www.embedtube.com/uploads/33101407Realage.swf Oh and yes it is Half One in the morning, can't fucking sleep with all these strong winds outside.
  6. 19 year old German winger currently playing for recently promoted Borussia Mönchengladbach & is apparently a target for Rafa Benitez. He was included in Germany's provisional 26-man squad for for Euro 2008, but did not make the final 23. Very talented player who would be worth signing & perhaps we could use Andrei Voronin as bait.
  7. LONDON (Reuters) - The owner of a tiny island in off Scotland declared its independence from the United Kingdom on Saturday, saying he wanted the territory, population one, to be a crown dependency like the Channel Islands. In a declaration on his Web site, Stuart Hill, who owns the 2.5 acre island of Forvik in the Shetland Islands in the North Sea, said he no longer recognised the authority of the government or the European Union, and cited a centuries-old royal marriage dowry deal as the basis for his claim. "Forvik owes no allegiance to any United Kingdom government, central or local, and is not bound by any of its statutes," Hill wrote. Hill, 65, has lived in the Shetland Islands on the edge of the Atlantic since 2001, when his boat capsized there during an unsuccessful attempted to circumnavigate Britain. He is Forvik's only resident, and his home is a tent on the storm-battered island. He says on his website that he plans to create Forvik's own currency -- the "gulde" -- print his own stamps and raise his own flag. "There will be no income tax, VAT (value added tax), council tax, corporation tax, or any of the other taxes instituted by the British government," Hill wrote. Hill's claim dates back to a 15th century arrangement between the Norwegian King Christian and King James III of Scotland when the Shetland Islands were effectively pawned to King James in lieu of a marriage dowry. According to Hill's studies of the history of the island, in 1669 King Charles II re-confirmed Shetland's status at the time of the pawning, meaning the islands remained directly answerable to the crown -- represented today by the Queen. "The monarchs and governments of Scotland, and Great Britain and the United Kingdom have for many years assumed powers over these islands of Shetland to which they were not entitled," he wrote. "By declaring Forvik a crown dependency I am simply re-establishing the correct legal relationship between this part of Shetland and the crown. Hill said he had written to the Queen offering his services as "steward" and recognising her as head of state. "I also invite anyone from any country in the world, who supports these aims, namely to become free of liars, thieves and tyrants in government, to become a citizen of Forvik," he added.
  8. Further to the manc tattoo thread, I thought this deserved its own... It's probably been posted here before, but I couldn't find it in a search. Anyway, there are always those who have never seen it.
  9. According to Shankslegend on RAWK, we been negotiating with Valencia for Villa, but couldn't come to an agreement. He says they want money up front and we want to spread payments over a few years. Wonder if this will change if we get more than expected from some player sales?
