  1. I had my doubts, those doubts are now confirmed usually i write a long, waffling, self-righteous critique full of hyperbole but you know what, they aren't even worthy of that they have let the fans down, they have let the club down, they have let the manager down these guys ain't going to take us back to where we belong, that much is clear the superfans will come on and say "well dempsey was never good enough..." "but we signed this guy...." but we have two forwards and neither of them are out and out strikers, so the truth is we don't have an out and out striker at the club we have bought about 4/5 and let go about 10/12 and of course all this while we want to make the leap to CL tom werner said we could compete with anybody in the transfer market, that is his "spade in the ground" comment - destined to haunt him now as we slowly realise we are owned by yet more yank bullshitters oh and speaking of spades in the ground, those clowns still have yet to even make a decision on a stadium, never mind start the actual work so another season in mid-table it is then, thank you fsg, than you ayre, you clueless useless morons - switching strategies and plans every five minutes and spin, spin and more spin to the fans would a general manager have been as incompetent as ayre during this last few days? the man i feel most sorry for is rodgers - he has obviously been lied to and misled so another season wasted and more wasters letting the club down, hope the can lvie with themselves
  2. Our finance department has announced they will not pay mileage claims for courses attended if you do not have 'business use' stated on your car insurance and they want copies of this. Legally my policy covers social, domestic and travel to and from a usual place of work. When I took the policy out I told the broker I travelled maybe half a dozen times a year for work to go to a first aid refresher, health and safety course etc and was told I did not need 'business use'. I have now had a big mileage claim bounced back and am not sure how to proceed. Any advice chaps?
  3. won an auction for something on ebay. At the top it said free postage within UK but in the text description for the item it said postage £3.50. I won the item for £5 and paid via paypal via the ebay checkout (£5). Seller now asking me to pay the £3.50 postage direct to his paypal. When i bid I expected it to be £8.50 but when it checked out automatically for a £5 I presumed he had changed it to free postage to boost his chance of selling. Does this sound dodgy to anyone who knows about Ebay ? It probably cost £2-3 at least to post so i don;t begrudge it. I'm just a bit of an ebay / paypal noivce and am paranoid about scammers. I want the item - its a second hand part that are pretty hard to find. Just don't want to get stung. And he has a weird east european name which makes me think he is Russian mafia or something - but appears to be in Surrey. cheers.
  4. This is disgusting. Liverpoolfc.tv: Liverpool FC Official Membership So basically, you are paying 29 quid to be on the season ticket waiting list and then to even HAVE A CHANCE of a ticket. What about families? 100 quid before you even get a sniff of a game? Fuck right off. I know loads off people on the season waiting list. That is DISGRACEFUL. How people can not boycott this shit to get them out is beyond me.
  5. If an old gypsy woman got out her crystal ball today and told me that Rafa wouldn't win the league within the next three seasons, I still would not hesitate to keep him around for the next ten years at least. (Disclaimer: not hoping that's the case by a long shot, merely pointing out that the task was a formidable one; no doubt I'll catch a bit of flak for this, but continuity is an important element of longterm success.) If we look at the kind of bite we've added to the squad since he's been around, and we look at the type of football we're starting to play, it's easy to feel hopeful. With Rafa, each year has been progressively sharper than the last, and I'm certain that Rafa's got it in him to win it all. The Mancs and Chavs have considerable resources, however, they're also woefully wasteful, and even with the ownership difficulties, we're not that far behind them. Arsenal look to be having a make or break summer, so we'll see what they look like once the season starts again, but they don't look to have as much steel to them as the run to the top of the table demands. While Tottenham look to be on the right track, I think it must be said they're not up to par yet. The Shite will always be the Shite. Therefore, let us take heart regardless of which Swiss RB's we're linked with (and who knows, maybe Rafa can get something out of him after all). We're not far off, and we don't even need David Villa to do it--though certainly I wouldn't turn him away if he showed up on the doorstep. I'm looking forward to next season.
  6. ...of either living until a ripe old age with the life you were given, or having only five years left to live but with unlimited cash to spend, what would you choose?
