  1. Lay off Chicarito Dave. Who knows what his problems are back home and, let's face it, he's far from a Rooney, Giggs or Ferdinand (or Bury face Neville). Who knows what he's praying for back home. Until he shows himself to be a proper cunt and scores against us then I can accept Chicarito and his prayers.
  2. I've decided to leave the site for a while due to events on here over the past few weeks that have really pissed me off. The FF is an absolute joke and all the threads go the same way plus a few other things which have got my back up. I've found myself getting worked up and I cant be arsed with it anymore. The GF is a great place most of the time but I always find myself having a look at the *F and it's doing my nut in. I'm off abroad for a few months in June and I've decided to stay away until I get back and then see if things have settled down. However, if anyone posts *F on the GF, I want you to neg them hard and bomb the fuck out of them. Farewell GF, I may see you again in the future. Hasta Luego.
  3. Jamie Carragher is my all time favourite Liverpool player. He's a local lad, says it how he sees it and has his feet firmly routed to the ground. He's a world class player who has featured in our greatest wins over the past decade. He's a red through and through and is a testament to himself, his family and the city. If there is anyone who I have never lost faith in at the club it's Jamie. He's the fan on the pitch, he's loyal to the cause. If we talk about him from a purely footballing point of view. The past 2 years have seen Carra get some stick. At his age, he should be taking the 'Hyypia' role. But sadly unlike Sami, Carra didn't have anyone like Hyypia alongside him I.E Carragher to help him out. What we have got with Carragher is someone who is leading the pack, organising a seemingly blind defence and is playing with different people week out. Thats not to give him an excuse for hoofing the ball alot or often getting caught out. But he hasn't been given the sort of reliance he has afforded the likes of Hyypia over the years. He's a 30 odd year old running up the wing and coming back again. It takes it's toll. Thats just my short take on the whole Carra as a player bit, it's been argued to death. But thats not really the point of this thread, the point of this thread is to ask what are people going on about Carragher having too much power at this club. I've been reading comments on twitter, on here and other websites. Calling Carra a cunt for getting Rafa the sack, giving Roy the job. It's bizarre. If there is one person I truly believe has this clubs interest at heart. It's Jamie. I don't know what it is with some sections of our support. Is it the fact they don't like scousers? Is it they don't like fans idolising such an old school defender. I genuinely don't know what it is. But the vitrol about him is bizarre and unfounded. It's become a niche market with Carragher. I've seen piss take pictures of him with Hodgson. Who the fuck knows what Carra thinks about Hodgson? He might want him sacked, he might want him to stay, he might also think fixing this problem is going to take more than a manager change and a few big name purchases. Carragher is on his way out, his glory days are behind him but as a player he can still offer us leadership and a steady head. He might be rash, he might be too passionate but you can never doubt he does what he does because he is Liverpool Football Club. Carragher can never have too much power at this football club and the notion that he himself got Rafa sacked is fucking ridiculous as it is funny, and it's also ridiculous that he also wanted Hodgson. We don't know Carragher's preference but many fans seem to be wanting to find a scape goat, and Carra fits that bit perfectly. I hope the fans who are reading this, and they know who they are. Realise that Jamie Carragher is one of the few shining lights in this team. He could play his trade in Sunny Spain and Italy, have a piss easy job, but no he's here, is Gerrard's talent deserve a bigger stage, so does Carraghers. Never before has this club expressed vitriol from pillar to post over a under performing manager, and never before has some sections of the fanbase seemingly wanted to get other entities chewed up and spit it in an orchestrated internet campaign of manager and player change. Jamie deserve better than this.
  4. He deserves at least that! If he loses the derby, that could well be it for him. The unrest is already building and there's nothing like a loss to Everton to push people over the edge. Regardless of who is to blame, Roy will not have had a fair chance if this ends up being the case but the panic button being pressed could soon be the only way out. The first half of games we are shocking and the second half we look desperate, exactly as we did under Benitez last season. Roy took over a much harder task than anyone seems to have realised and regardless of who he plays and where, this team are simply not good enough. Should that mean relegation? Of course not! If the players can't get up for the derby then that's it, I'm sorry but as much as I'm standing by Roy if we don't show passion for that game then we won't show it in a relegation fight because they're similar games. I refuse to throw in the towel before we play Everton regardless of how bad things have been but if we don't put in a performance in that game then it could be time to look to Dalglish. I don't care anymore about my fears of him being out of the game for so long, football is football and we will be in a battle if we lose to Everton and there's no one we'd rather go to war with. There's not one player in there that would dare throw their toys out of the pram with Kenny around either. Something has got to give and derby day for Roy could well and truly be D-Day. It isn't completely his fault but he has to take some of the blame. I wanted Keane here but it was clear to all and sundry that it wasn't working out, the same situation could happen with Roy. I know our away support won't get on Roy based on previous results, they're too good for that. Long term my first choice was never Roy, I thought he could come in keep the players we needed to keep and steady the ship, regardless of why or assigning blame that hasn't happened and for that reason it's shit or bust at Goodison. I will be hoping we win the game unlike some others, I will be hoping the players remember what it is to play for the badge and regain their passion and that Roy goes out with his best 11 and gets them playing. This could be his final hurrah even this early in proceedings, he deserves backing!
  5. Good for Carra. It was about the stuff Tomkins implied about Carra's family being against Rafa. “Hi Paul, It’s Jamie Carragher…†| The Tomkins Times | Paul Tomkins' blog about Liverpool Football Club (LFC) tomkinsfoolery
