After the tv break in our last league game, we're back on the box this week for the first trip this season to Brummieland on Sunday. Hopefully everyone will be back from the international games without a scratch or strain, to play at a ground where it's fair to say, we don't have a great record. Well that was Roys last time to look at the players in a game before Arsenal. Think we have some good competition for places in many positons, most notibly centre back, left back, centre midfield (if Masch stays) and out wide. I wonder if Roy will play Mascherano if he is still at the club? A buyer might not come in for him, therefore why should we not play him when he could improve our team?! But then again it doesn't send out a great message to someone like Lucas, who is showing loyalty and has had a decent pre season. Joe Cole should play in the free role behind Ngog, assuming Torres won't be ready to start. Aquilani might think he should play this game, but given the way Cole has played last night and they way Aquilani has shown very little in pre season, I don't think he can argue at not being slected. On the left I guess Jovanovic will start, as Babel hasn't had any game time to imrpess Roy and Cole will be used central. On the right Roy will have a tough choice between Maxi and Kuyt. At left back it seems Roy might have four options now, when he had none a few weeks ago - in Aurelio, Kelly, Insua and even Agger - Roy sticks with Skrtel and Carragher in centre defense. Some healthy competition but who would you like to see Roy select, assuming we have the current squad?
