  1. Pennant strikes La Liga deal Former Arsenal, Leeds United and current Liverpool right winger Jermaine Pennant has clinched a Bosman transfer to Spanish club Valencia this summer according to reports in the Spanish press. Pennant, currently on loan at Portsmouth was keen to stay at Anfield, but sources suggest Rafa Benitez has been told to cut the wage budget at Anfield, if he wants to sign his transfer targets this summer. The wideman was linked with a shock move to Real Madrid in the January transfer window but the deal fell through after Pennant decided he wanted to fight for his place at Anfield. The reports will come as blow to Pompey fans after Pennant admitted yeaterday that a move to the South Coast was a possibility. He said: "It's always going to be an option. I've enjoyed my time there. I've had a very hard season, but next season we'll see what happens." Pennant strikes La Liga deal 13 May 2009 - 14:28 | Sport.co.uk
  2. me, you, anytime. you horrible, cheating waste of a player.
  3. Winger Pennant has joined Pompey on loan until the end of the season after being told by Benitez that his Anfield career was over. Pennant started only two matches for Liverpool this season before being frozen out of Benitez's plans. Pennant said: 'I am looking forward to Tony Adams speaking English. I don't know if it is the English mentality he dislikes but there are not a lot of English players at Liverpool. Jermaine Pennant 'I have mentioned that before when I was at Arsenal so I guess I have not had much luck with foreign managers. 'Last season I played 34 games and in a Champions' League final the previous year for Rafa but now he has had a change of plans. 'It is not for me to question the manager because he has done so well for Liverpool but it seems very strange to go from playing every week to training on my own on Saturday afternoons. 'But that is Rafa for you and I don't think half the players at Liverpool can work him out. 'I have been speaking to a lot of the other Liverpool players and they could not understand why I was not being selected, especially in the games at home where they have struggled to win. 'It was the same with Peter Crouch and he had to get away too. 'I spoke to Crouchy a lot before I came here and he told me to join Portsmouth. He said it was a good club and that Tony would give me more chances to play.' Pennant has the option of a permanent move to Fratton Park at the end of his loan but admitted he could yet join AC Milan or Real Madrid. He added: 'It is weird that I cannot get into Liverpool's team but Real Madrid want me. 'It is very flattering to be linked with a club of their size because they are one of the best teams in the world. On the attack: Pennant criticised Benitez for not giving him a chance at Anfield 'I did not speak to Madrid directly but my agent may have done. I did not speak to Milan either but again my agent may have. 'I am here for six months because I want to play regular football and we will have to see what happens after that. 'It would be a great experience to play abroad and I am not ruling it out.' Pennant blasts Benitez: Rafa forced me to leave Liverpool because I'm English | Mail Online
  4. Anyone watching this mad bastard tapping a Venomous Cobra on the head whilst it is trying to bite him so he can have a photo with it. He was on last week as well and got bit but carried on annoying some snakes and Crocodiles. He is far madder than Irwin. He's going to chase some Rhino's in a minute.
  5. I have decided to return and try and finish half life 2, but my game keeps crashing on the level where they explain how to use the gravity gun. I am trying to work out how to use it now. I can understand blasting things out of the way, but not using it as a weapon. Can anyone explain it to me?
  6. We all know Rafa is a big fan of his and he has been quoted today as wanting words with Wenger about more games. He doesnt sound too happy the way things are going there. Just thinking has anyone been sniffing around him again?
  7. I know I am posting this a bit after the event, but I was watching Soccer Saturday last week and they started talking about Steven Gerrard having to go and have a groin operation. The conversation went like this: Geoff Stelling: 'Phil Thompson, why did Steven Gerrard have to go and have his groin operation now? Why couldn't he have had it in the summer?' Phil Thompson: 'Because he didn't need it in the summer.' Stelling:'OK, why couldn't he get it after the last set of internationals?' Thommo: 'Because Liverpool Football Club felt they needed him and it is their choice because he is their player. England don't have to pay his wages, so they don't have a say. Fabio Capello knows the situation, he's been a club manager and probably done something like this himself.' Stelling: 'So, what your saying Phil is that it's Rafa Benitez's fault if England don't qualify for the World Cup?' Unbelievable.
  8. Runs the same, dribbles the same and plays the same way with pace. Anyone else noticed the same? That second goal was all Robben except Anderson is all right foot and Robben is all left. I'd like him to be sub right winger next season, well excited by this lad.
  9. Everyone is going on about tomorrow's and rightly so, but we do have an equally important game tonight. So come on the kids...
