  1. Baffling how some large companies in this country manage to get anything done. The company I work for doesn't, hence they're the 4th most successful company of a group of 4 in what they do and will always remain that way due to the general aura of fucktardedness around the place. I'm always too hot, always have been. When I'm at home I wear shorts and a t shirt whatever the weather and I've always had a desk fan wherever I've worked. I've been in this job for 10 months and have been asking for a desk fan since I started. Communication over the last 10 months: Me (to facilities): Can I bring in a desk fan please? I get too hot and have always had one in previous jobs. Facilities: Ooh no, we'd have to get it checked out and all that. Me: Okayyyy....can you provide me with one then please? Facilities: The temperature in the building is electronically controlled and we've been assured there are no issues in your area. Me: Yeah, like I say, this is a 'me' thing rather than an office thing. Can I just have a desk fan? Facilities: We've had a word and they've adjusted the temperature in your area; shouldn't be any more problems now. Me: Why did you do that? There is no problem with the temperature, it's a 'me' thing. There are other people in this area to consider. Facilities: No reply Me: Can I have a desk fan please? Facilities: We've spoken to occupational health. They've suggested you dress appropriately. Me: They want me to take my shirt off? Facilities: We've spoken to them again. They're going to come and see you to carry out an assessment. Un. Fucking. Believable.
  2. Gervais is getting some serrious stick from all quarters regarding his perpetual use of the word "mong" and posting pictures of himself pulling "mongy" faces on Twatter. Sean Lock and Richard Herring are the latest comedians to slate him, calling him "lazy" and "If the words are upsetting some people and perpetuating a stereotype, isn't it more noble and thoughtful to just admit you might have made a mistake and stop?" Gervais has claimed detractors are jealous of his success and bemoaned the "humourless PC brigade": "The modern use of the word mong means 'dopey' or 'ignorant'," said Gervais in a statement. "It's even in modern slang and urban dictionaries." "Well done everyone who pointed out that Mong USED to be a derogatory term for DS [Down's Syndrome], Gay USED to mean happy. Words change. Get over it." So. Is Gervais a bad mong?
  3. Has there been any further development on the Xabi front? I know we have the mega talented Joe Allen and mid field maestro Jonjo Shelvey but Stevie may need some extra help out there.
  4. So tonight's match against San Marino - question did England play well or are San Marino just that shit!!!??? what are your opinions on England performance?
  5. I dislike Chelsea but this is dirt cheap. It was the ball boys fault for being a knob by time wasting. Best thing is, if it was Rooney kicking the ball boy, it'll be probably said as a good thing and no way will Rooney be charged. Alex da cunt.
  6. That was the greatest performance by an English team in The Champions League ever, including our game in Istanbul. I've got no love for Chelsea, but to beat Barcelona with 10 men takes some beating.
  7. its half time am I am fuming!! Andy Carroll I reckon bottled it to score in front of his home town team support! he dived so Stevie could take the spot kick.. He could cost us the match after that. they were on the ropes until they scored. we are playing well but take off Craig as he is not fit and bring on Dirk please. Carroll you owe us Liverpool Suppoters!:telloff:
  8. This is not a knee jerk thread. How can we recover from this? Also, who also fears that should be fail to get into the top 4 or win a trophy this season, that Suarez and Reina will be off in the summer?
  9. Over the years we have given many players the chance to play for our great club. Some have excelled many have let us down..... But we provide them with the platform to come here and be loved and idolised. A chance to show the world what they have as a footballer, and be appreciated and respected for their efforts. We have brought in two strikers for around 20-25 million..... One was suffering a bad loss in form, had a poor world cup and was playing nowhere near his level. We took the gamble, and gave him one of the finest platforms in world football to showcase his skills.... And he did....and we both benefited. He might have fucked us over but we got 50 million for him, and he became the best striker in the world at one stage. Now we have given suarez the same chance, we took the risk....but gave him a much bigger platform and spot light than ajax or many other clubs can give him. He has excelled..we have both benefited. In my opinion he is in the top 5 players int he world right now. Again in my opinion, he would go for easily 50-60 million right now.... So would you cash in? I can hear you all swearing at me now.....but think about it.... We have taken two good players, given them a bigger platform, more coverage, more worldwide exposure....allowed them to play and showcase what they have, be loved and idolised...almost worshiped and they have QUICKLY gone on to become top players in world football. I think our club and who we are has allowed their stock to grow as fast as it has. We made them our main men, allow them to be greedy at times, and give them a freedom to play.....they and us, have reaped the rewards. Can we do it again? Have we got lucky twice? I think we, the fans, give such players freedom and love. We make them feel wanted and loved and that gives them confidence to show what they have......doesnt happen at other clubs really (think about real madrid, chelsea, man city, milan) at those clubs if you dont perform your out.....we dont put that pressure on such players and i think thats a big factor in why these kinda of players are doing so well here. I'm not sure if i would sell suarez as he gets me up of my seat, and thats pricless as a football fan.....but i also think we can find more of this type of player and make them excell and get even better because of the platform we provide as a football club.
  10. ... is he going somewhere? He was on the bench yesterday, but not against Blackpool. Heard we offered him to Ajax. I really don't hope so, because I like him, and think if we let him go, he will shine.
