I remember when we got our first VHS player, must have been about 1986-7, what a whole new world it opened. Our first video was Gremlins and it had a trailer for Rocky IV on it, as well as some jarg looking Madona song romance film called Crazy for You. There was a Ritz video shop in Speke parade and it was a magic fucking place indeed. Robocop, Transformers the Movie, and any number of other great films and some highly suss straight-to-video titles available. This was before Sky Moves and all that bollocks, and back then you knew the people in those video shops - they were adults too, not these spotty cunts you get today. Anyone catch this? Docu on BBC3 and is on Iplayer. Only seen the first one, so im guessing it is a different regiment each week. Tells the story of our guys in Afghanistan with a lot of footage captured on helmet cams. Not to everyone's taste, but well worth a watch. BBC iPlayer - Our War: Ambushed

Great to see him on La Revista tonight and I loved the caption won 6 major trophies as assistant to Rafa Benitez and very interestingly Rafa hasnt won anything of note bar a world club one off game with Inter. So for all Rafa's suposed brilliance maybe he should realise the error of his ways and beg Pako to help him become the manager he used to be. Pako is pure class.

RTÉ Sport's Premier Soccer Saturday is to be broadcast in front of a live audience for the first time on 30 April, in association with programme sponsor the Irish Sun. Presenter Darragh Maloney will be joined by former Premier League players and Irish internationals Ray Houghton, Ronnie Whelan and Kenny Cunningham for the show, and audience members will be able to interact with the RTÉ soccer panel for discussion of all the issues. Soccer fans can win tickets for the live audience event by listening to Sport At 7 on RTÉ Radio 1 (until Wednesday, 6 April ), or by checking out the Irish Sun. Premier Soccer Saturday presenter Darragh Maloney said: 'I'm really excited about the live show and there is going to be a really great atmosphere in studio on the night. 'As the presenter I try to ask the panel the questions that I think the viewers at home want to know but this time they'll be the ones actually doing the asking so I think the guys are set for a real grilling.' Ronnie - I think he might know a thing or two - reckons Mascherano held us back and that he was severely exposed once Alonso left. He reckons he has no real skill on the ball, while acknowledging that he is a world class ball winner - but if you're winning the ball all the time to give it away more often than not it's like watching a dog chase it's tail - according to Ronnie. There were statistics published last year that proved Liverpool lost more games with him in the team that when he was out. He's gone, and ignominious departure and good riddance. It's good to be shot of Benitez and his love child. The way the twit hankered for Rafa during the summer was embarrassing - grown men behaving like that, it makes me sick. Mereiles looks like a much better player, while Poulson is a decent step up from that complete birdbrain Lucas. We'd still have Alonso btw if it wasn't for the fat controller's lack of interpersonal skills - which seemed to have caused a few barnies at Inter already. Lets just forget the muck of the Benitez ear please. :yes:
