Can't say i'd trust either side of this one Feel sorry for those stuck in the middle but Ukrainian politics is full of far right bastards. Over the past decade the number of attacks on Jews,Gays,Roma has gone through the roof with a number of independents condeming it. Up until two years back Andriy Biletsky was a memeber of parliment. Post-Maidan Ukraine is the world’s only nation to have a neo-Nazi formation in its armed forces. The Azov Battalion was initially formed out of the neo-Nazi gang Patriot of Ukraine. Andriy Biletsky, the gang’s leader who became Azov’s commander, once wrote that Ukraine’s mission is to “lead the White Races of the world in a final crusade…against the Semite-led Untermenschen.” Biletsky is now a deputy in Ukraine’s parliament. This isn't a defense of what Putin is doing as he is undoubtedly a bastard to many of the same groups aswell. Be interesting where these shells have landed, in populated areas or the outskirts of populated areas. Neo-Nazis and the Far Right Are On the March in Ukraine | The Nation

RP casually scrolling through Guardian's live updates and sees Biletsky quoted, shortly after realises that he also has one of the most memorable quotes ever attributed to an Avoz member and types "Biletsky" into the forum search to find it.

In 2010, Biletsky said Ukraine’s national purpose was to “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade … against Semite-led Untermenschen [inferior races]”. Biletsky was elected to parliament in 2014. He left Azov as elected officials cannot be in the military or police force. He remained an MP until 2019. “Ukraine is the world’s only nation to have a neo-Nazi formation in its armed forces,” a correspondent for the US-based magazine, the Nation, wrote in 2019. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/3/1/who-are-the-azov-regiment

In fairness, it’s highly unlikely a guy like Biletsky is going to have changed his views, and you do t want him solidifying a position in the future Ukrainian government.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/43632454/ukraine-on-patrol-with-the-far-right-national-militia They seem a nice bunch of fellas After marching through the streets of Kiev, they swore their allegiance to Andriy Biletsky, an ultranationalist MP who heads the National Corpus party. Biletsky has toned down his rhetoric in recent years, but the former Azov battalion commander declared in 2010 that the Ukrainian nation’s mission was to “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade … against Semite-led Untermenschen [subhumans]”. What could possibly go wrong?
