We used to get double time plus a day in lieu, that was years ago though. It appears that all the things that workers fought for over decades have been continually chipped away at since the Tory's attacks on the unions. I was forced to retire in 2000 and part of me is glad to be out of it. -
Yep. Pick an expletive. Any expletive.

I find switching my hearing aids off solves a lot of that malarkey. Just nod or grunt every now and then. Hearing loss has it's plus points.

Gemma Arterton is exquisite.

My Mrs does stuff like that all the time. Instead of just doing the obvious and only having one safe place she dot's stuff all over the place, usually things that belong to me. -

I have no time for the monarchy or anything associated with it but on a human level she's a young woman with a young family. I wish her a speedy and complete recovery . It's just rankles me that very few of all those poor women who have been where she is more than likely got nowhere near the level of care she'll be receiving. I don't begrudge her it at all, I just believe that everyone who needs it should get it, paid for in full by the taxpayer just like hers will be.

The Spark 40 my lad ordered arrived this morning. He said it sounds great but the app is refusing to interact with Spotify correctly making that feature, one of the main reasons he bought it pretty much unusable. He's had a look online and he's not on his own. Apparently it's an issue that has been around for a while with Positive Grid yet to fix it. He's raised a ticket with them and is waiting for their response though he's expecting a generic one with the usual 'we are aware of an issue, please bear with us while our engineers work on it'. Problem is they've been 'working on it' since July with no sign of a fix. He's pretty disappointed tbh. He said he's thinking about sending it back for a refund as it's basically false advertising and looking at something else, probably the Boss Katana he was looking at in the first place.

Sorry about your breakfasts lads! He was a character my brother in law, funny as fuck and could hold an audience. A small addition to that story is after that incident the lad was known as Bob. Short for Bob Martin. Squaddie humour.
