Mo Salah. Top scorer in the League on 15. 4 goals in 3 games. Should have been 5 if not for the disallowed one vs Spurs. Another 20 goal season. Put some respect on his fucking name.

They are just desperate for a new scapegoat. Gary Neville already on the bandwagon too saying we play too differently when Thiago is in the starting 11. Too much finesse and no punch. And right after he said that, Thiago produced the fantastic throughball for Origi. Our lack of threat isnt because of Thiago. It is because 2 of our regular front 3 are out and Origi has been useless. -

Phillips has done reasonably well. He isnt as awful on the ball as many people think. Played a few good long balls and even went on a couple Matip-like runs. Because he looks gangly, people tend to exaggerate his supposed deficiencies. Origi on the other hand ? *sigh*. Really hope we can get Firmino on for him right after the break. -

Given the fact that we turned shite immediately after giving Palace a fucking pasting, I'll be fine with a 1 nil win today. -
For fucks sake. Hope that's not true. Thanks for the clarification.

Sorry, is there something else involved with Mane? I'm just curious.

Southampton got fucked badly by the use of VAR tonight. No question about it. Denied a clear penalty and then having an equaliser ruled out because of a fucking shirt sleeve. What advantage has Ings gained by his shirt sleeve being offside? How can those in charge of the game not see that such decisions are really harming football? The easiest thing with these offsides is just to draw the lines from the feet. Stop the bollocks with "Tshirt sleeves". And if the lines from either player touch after being drawn, let the goal stand.

Actually the co commentator on Sky was saying it should be a penalty and even saying there could be a red card. They both were surprised that VAR didn't give it. Real shambles. They were giving penalties for less clear-cut handballs earlier in the season. But now you can stretch out an arm and stop a goal bound shot with no punishment.

I recall that our first goal vs City last season was allowed to stand following the same process. Silva handled the ball, it hit Trent's arm, we launch a counter and then score through Fabinho. It wasnt disallowed that day. So I dont know why it should have been disallowed in a similar situation vs Spurs when the initial handball was by the Spurs player. And also, judging by the wording in the rule posted by Code above, the goal should have stood regardless.

Spurs (A) 28/1/21 - Premier League - 20:00

Playing Gini as a 6 and Thiago further forward has helped a bit. Firmino has looked great and Mane has been dangerous all half. Now they have to come out at us in the 2nd half. Hopefully we'll exploit the spaces. -

It's a damn shame. We get Henderson back, Fabinho picks an injury. The story of our season. I think Mourinho has decided to empathise with us by leaving two of his own centre backs on the bench in Alderweireld and Sanchez. Instead the cunt has Davies and Dier in a back 3. -
Ake played often earlier in the season. Then got injured, came back and got injured again. He has currently been out for a few weeks now, I think. But that hasn't affected them because they went into the season with sufficient cover. Turns out it made sense to have sufficient cover at center back with proper, experienced centre backs.

It would be such an uplifting fairytale if Man City gave their biggest title rivals a helping hand by selling them a centerback. However, even if he has been shite for them, they would be scared that he might turn out good for us. Our happily ever after with Eric Garcia ain't ever happening mate. Pep wont allow it, neither would his bosses.

Going by that tweet, we basically went into this season with one super reliable CB, one reasonably reliable CB who had had a couple long term injuries, one CB made of crisps, one midfielder capable of playing CB and one kid called Billy the Kid. Man City on the other hand, saw the shambles that occured when they tried doing similar shite in defence last season. And promptly brought in two centerbacks for this season. Clean sheets galore and now 7 points ahead of us.

Manchester United 3 Liverpool 2 (Jan 24 2021)

Trent being that high was probably not advisable but that's how we have often played. Gini being timid was the reason the attack broke down in the first place for their first goal. Firmino gave it to him on the edge of the box and instead of turning to shoot, Gini laid it to back Firmino. Pogba read it, lunged in and the ball broke for their counter. Seconds later, 1-1. That's my big issue with Gini when it gets to the attacking third. He is often too conservative, he usually takes the easy option and can't spot a through ball into the box. And like Dave mentioned in one of the comments above, Gini's shooting and finishing is usually atrocious when playing for us. Yes, he plays a different role for the Dutch, but it is still a bit puzzling he can't seem to finish chances for us as well as he does for them. It'll be great if we got him to extend his contract. Because he is our most durable and reliably fit midfielder. But he is also a midfielder we can improve upon. He just doesnt contribute enough goals and assists for a team as dominant as ours. -
They are really making it up as they go along. This season especially has been a shambles for the PGMOL. Incidents which were offside earlier are no longer offsides, as they now spend less than a few seconds checking by VAR. Compared to before when almost 3 minutes was spent checking if Mane's arm was offside at Goodison. Earlier in the season, there were penalties for every other handball and now they have reined it in a bit and only the occasional handball is punished. It's a fucking joke, the number of inconsistencies. City now have the benefit of scoring a goal which would be disallowed for any other team in the same season. Incredible.

No striker, not even the very best and deadliest ever, always score more than half their chances on the regular. Salah's conversion rate is actually good this season. It's one of the best so far. It is a myth to think any striker gets 5 goals today with those chances. He scored two and has 19 for the season now. The guy needs to be cut some slack ffs.

Cavani was on his way down before Fabinho touched him. The cunt wasn't even showing any intent on getting the ball. I'm never having that as a freekick. We still should have defended the freekick better though. It was a shit wall set up by Alisson. And though I Iike Thiago, it was a bit cowardly for him to duck out of the way.
-
True, we attacked well. Problem is the defence is always going to cost us if we keep having to rotate our CBs with inexperienced kids and players who are actually not even defenders.
-
That was never a freekick on Cavani. Fucking cheats.
