Liverpool 0 Everton 2 (Feb 20 2021)
Supremolad replied to tlw content's topic in FF - Football Forum
To be fair, in the 2nd half , Mane did shout 'fuck you' at the ref or something similar. Got yellow carded for it. Trent and Robbo also left a bit in on the Everton players a couple times during the game. I do agree that our players generally need to do more of that. The worry is these refs cant wait to fuck us over. They would dish us as many red cards as possible if they had the chance. And having multiple players on 3 game suspensions isn't going to help in our chase for 4th spot. It is still within our reach. -
No other ref has been as dismissive of a VAR monitor like that cunt was. He was bent on giving that penalty, no matter what the contrary evidence was. Barely looked at the replay. Not that I have much sympathy for Chris Wilder, but that unpunished challenge on their player by the Fulham keeper was another absolute shocker. And then the PGMOL came with some bullshit justification. Glad that Souness called all of them out for being shit cunts on Sky afterwards.

Everton (H) PL - Sat 20th Feb 2021 at 17:30

Well, we have been playing two centerbacks almost half of this first half and it hasn't improved much either. At least with Phillips on, Calvert Lewin's hope of getting a winning header has diminished by 50%. -

Henderson now going off. This season should just fuck off already. -

Kabak has been awful. -
Are we treated unfairly by referees and if so why ?
Supremolad replied to Colonel Kurtz's topic in FF - Football Forum
Yeah I think that happened. There are a few other occasions I have seen when refs end an half or end the game a few seconds early. However, what makes this Man Utd one unique is the fact that we had an attacker running through for a potential 1 v 1. The ball was already being chased by Mane. Refs in that situation always let the attacking play get completed. Even when the minimum time initially showed has been reached. -
Interesting to see how some of our fans have turned professional body language experts. It is rare to for anyone to be great mates with every single colleague at work. People just continue to look for every bit of nonsense to fan the flames. You want them kissing or what? There were other players who celebrated that goal with Salah with barely a little pat on the back too. And there are times when both have celebrated with each other in a more enthusiastic fashion. In the same game, both players combined well as they very often do. Salah played a brilliant reverse pass to Mane which only didn't result in a goal because of poor control. They might not be best of mates but they still function well together.

Yes, you are correct. It was Tierney. -

Dale Johnson of ESPN regularly updates a "VAR Table" to show which club has had decisions go for and against them. Then he calculates the net figure. His most recent was from a couple days ago. Liverpool are still the worst affected team by VAR, and have been the worst affected team all season. No one can surely deny these plain facts. We have been extremely shafted by the officials. -

Fantastic compilation. Permit me to also point out the outrageous decision by Jon Moss in our game vs Man Utd at Anfield. He blew for half time, seven seconds early. And it was the exact moment Mane was running through for a 1 v 1. I have watched football for nearly 4 decades and I have genuinely never seen that happen. And it was mostly laughed off and waved away during post match analysis. It was a real head scratcher because they always say a "minimum'' of minutes has been added and this fucker didn't even bother with that.. -

RB Leipzig (A) UCL - Tues 16th Feb 2021 at 20:00

I think he does graft for the team. However I agree he can be a bit too casual and ponderous on the ball sometimes. We dont get much end product out of him nowadays. Still, it is hard to be too critical of him given his age. Some inconsistency in his performance is to be expected. -

With Fabinho still out, I dont think it's a surprise that Henderson is used again as a CB. No chance Klopp was throwing in Phillips alongside Kabak or Davies for this one. A bit of seniority is needed there to help. Reckon when Fabinho does return, we would see Henderson return to midfield. -
I'll have Robertson and Henderson in the top 3. However I do agree it is fair to say Salah is ahead of those two based on how well he has performed overall.
-
A pity the goal he scored yesterday was soured by what happened afterwards. The assist was brilliant and the finish was lovely. Apart from that little run of 4 games in the league when he went through a barren patch, he has had a great season. One of the top 3 contenders for our player of the season imho.
-
Yeah I thought the same. Is their strict restrictions for travelling into Germany not the reason why the game with Leipzig was moved to Budapest? I don't think Klopp could have gone even if he wanted. These are his words below. “The fact that I can’t be at the funeral is due to the terrible times. “As soon as the circumstances allow, we will hold a wonderful commemoration that is appropriate to it.”

Liverpool 1 Man City 4 (Feb 7 2021)
Supremolad replied to tlw content's topic in FF - Football Forum
Fairly good summation of the game by Dave here. However, I dont agree about that being the worst goalkeeping display by a Liverpool goalie. Dudek and James have legitimate claims. And there were a couple times Mignolet also had absolute stinkers. Regarding City bumming us, well we occasionally give them a good bumming too. All their recent big scoreline wins over us have caveats. Smashed them 3-1 last season when it mattered. Their 4 nil win then came after we had won the league, still pissed up from celebrating. The 17/18 season, they beat us 5 nil due to an early Mane red card, but we still ended up beating them 3 times that season. Including a 3 nil bumming in the CL. And this season they beat us when we had a load of injuries, without fans at Anfield. So yeah, I wont be giving them that much credit for the bummings. -
We saw Luiz sent off a few days ago bcos of an accidental trip. But today, Dias doesn't get a red card for deliberately pulling Salah. This sport has gone mad. Thought the red card should have been produced because Dias wasn't "attempting to play the ball". Which is the same reason we were told Luiz was sent off for.

The only slight positive about Kane being back so quickly is that he gets to play against City next week. What would have been a certain 3pts for City with Kane missing, is now not as certain.

Liverpool 0 Brighton 1 (Feb 3 2021)
Supremolad replied to tlw content's topic in FF - Football Forum
What makes the defeat last night more unbearable is the fact that almost all the teams around us in the top spots won. Looked like we were about to open a nice gap on Everton, West Ham and Leicester. And we were closing in on United. They all win and we throw in a stinker. Just when we thought we were out, they drew us back in. Finishing Top 4 should really be the target now because the way we're playing inconsistently, it's certainly not a given. -
Thought Mustafi and Kabak had already agreed terms. This was posted in another thread on here earlier. Unless the sky sources are all full of bollocks, then I reckon the deal is done.
-
I'm not sure anyone here is saying Salah was solely responsible for the win today. Just saying people need to dial back on some of the abuse he receives. And for him to be appreciated a bit more. I agree with you that some other players played very well today. In fact, I would have Milner as my man of the match. Not only for his performance on the pitch but for his reaction after Jones set up Salah's first goal.
-
I think some of our fans are just fucking spoilt and have short memories. Yes it is true his level dropped for a few weeks. But so did the level of almost the whole team. The intensity of abuse some people specifically reserve for Salah in such periods is shameful. Those people would only truly appreciate him when he is gone.
