  1. Doesn't that depend on what you're are fighting for? These people had seen for years the destructive power of the enemy, I think if you realised your family could be in jeopardy then you might think differently. I'm not saying you wouldn't be terrified, you would. Unfortunately, propaganda is an art these days, the media can bend minds very easily. An enemy is whoever they decide it is and whoever they put up for the two minutes of hate.
  2. I hope she hasn't got a water meter.
  3. Very true, sometimes though there are people out there that are easily influenced. There does seem to be a disconnect between silly internet waffle from one side of the argument and the other side. One is generally taken seriously and police involved and the other it's dismissed as silly internet waffle. This isn't a dig at anyone here, just a massive hypocrisy that exists.
  4. The best times to be a blue are normally June, July and the start of August. After that, it's just a shitfest. Sorry to any bitter reading this, June was a pretty shitty month for you lot. Never mind, it's the taking part that counts eh?
  5. True. It's not unusual (ask Tom) for crowds to give extra effort in their recognition when applauding when they know the participants have had to possibly fight against something to be there or to make it happen. Life is pretty shit outside of the constructed protection, I wouldn't begrudge these kids the extra attention.
  6. What? That's it, she's INANIMATE to me. (9 letters)
  7. Sometimes I wonder if 97 points and Champions of Europe was just some horrible nightmare, then I leave this thread and I'm ok.
  8. Watched this on Friday on BT TV (UHD) and found a crystal clear image of myself in the crowd seconds before a goal in the second half and just after. I am still flying high from that game and refuse to come down, the final the icing on a magnificent cake. I've said it before but the final was so nerve-racking because I didn't want the Barca 4-0 to count for nothing. I will probably watch this game considerably more than I'll ever watch the final. Obviously, Origi's goal and the cup celebrations but this game against Barca will stay there as something very special for a very long time.
  9. It depends on what 'normal' means to you. I've always thought that normal is used to describe individual behaviour that conforms to the most common behaviour in society. That also applies to height, weight etc. Mostly a scientific way of describing things that doesn't include any prejudices or hate. I might consider my behaviour as not being normal (abnormal) when I look around at my close circle of friends and family, however it might actually be quite normal. Isn't it just teenagers that want to be different after spending their lives obeying their parents' commands, part of growing up. Are individualists just people stuck in their teenage years? I'd like to think that I am not normal, but I probably am. Am I a total fuckwit in shops that has absolutely no awareness, no. Am I a total fuckwit that shouldn't be on the road driving, no. Would I screw over friends or family, or strangers for that matter, no. Am I a selfish piece of shit that will use people for my own ends and not care, no. Do I consider those with a different opinion than myself as beneath me, no. I guess I am not that normal after all.
  10. That Gallagher bloke needs to learn how to lower his mic, it's dead easy. Stupid twat.
  11. I've never really listened to much of Janet Jackson's music, and now I know why. There are only two songs, the best things in life are free and Nasty Boy with different words. So actually I've heard them all.
  12. I had the sound down, thought this was the Thriller video for a moment. Ooooh the blonde is nice.
  13. Why are they comparing our player to their players? What did they win last season? Why can't they compare for example Trent and Robertson. I mean it's clickbait shite at it's worst and laughable really. We are in a different league to them, we pay more for much better players that will operate at the highest level. They are a shop window where players go to hopefully move to clubs that win trophies. While enduring shit results against shit teams and being boooed by their fans. Had any decent clubs been sniffing around for either of those players then they would have been off like a bitter at half time.
  14. Newcastle will begin their search for a new manager after it was announced that Rafa Benitez will leave the club. Benitez will officially leave his role at St. James' Park on Sunday when his contract expires. The 59-year-old has spent just over three years in charge since replacing Steve McClaren in March 2016.
  15. Penalty shoot outs would suddenly become much different.
  16. It seems to be a pattern with this new series that they have some brilliant ideas, they just have some poorly thought out endings. All of the first three I watched have poor endings, sorry correction two have poor endings and the first one just an annoying ending. Is Mr Brooker just a casual observer these days or has he sold out?
  17. I always said I would walk away, then I realised it would just put us on level pegging with the cheats. However, winning the title without financial doping would be worth far far more for me than winning it by cheating. I'd rather the premier league take some steps to stop the financial doping, they would only consider that if we got an owner with unlimited funds. So for that reason, I'm out. Let's take on the cheats and win it cleanly.
  18. Just finished the first episode of the brand new series on netflix, just NO, how the fuck is that the same thing. Just fucking no!
  19. It wouldn't surprise me if this whole Boris argument thing wasn't planned. It shouldn't dominate the papers but it is, we've all had arguments with our partners and it is part of normal life. Without any violence, it's a mundane part of living with someone and usually, they clear the air. Hence planning something that is easily defendable and taking the attention away from the serious matters, which is basically what his bumbling persona is about. There's nothing more predictable than the media though, we aren't so much fed news these days as led through a clearly scripted soap opera of life, the sadness is so many believe it to be real. Do I need to add for the weak minded that I am no fan of Mr Johnson, who in that respect at least has an apt name.
