That Roma ticket sale thing:

 

a. could be a Photoshop. Has anybody seen a version with the web or e-mail address in the picture?

 

b. could be pure coincidence. They could've had a web-link for ticket sales ready to go and were just testing it briefly on their site, and would then edit the team and date once the draw confirmed that info.

 

c. a fixed draw. Cos UEFA love us.

 

I think each option is as plausible as the others (although c is probably the least plausible, if we're being honest)

Most likely b. When I reveiw my tickets on Liverpools site there are loads of dummy entries. If UEFA wanted a showcase final surely they would have kept Real and Bayern apart rather risk the pesky Ingleesh and eytalians in the final.

Of course its a half volley. This stuff about it only being when it immediately hits the ground who they hell can tell that with the naked eye. The instant is not detectable by the player and spectators. It would only be now with HD tv and super slow mo replays you could tell if the strike was made the instant the ball touched the ground, the millisecond before or after.

I'm with LF on this one - I was always of the opinion that a volley is when you hit the ball before it bounces having been played to you by another player. And that a half volley is the same but you hit it at the exact moment the ball hits the ground.

Nah. Half volley is when it has touched the ground and can be on an upward trajectory or bounced and is coming down.

If it bounces once it is a half volley.
