Really? Fourth highest season ticket price in the division after Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs according to some table I found online there.

    https://www.90min.com/posts/6404583-ranking-the-average-prices-of-premier-league-club-s-season-tickets-ahead-of-2019-20-season

4th highest seassie price for a club that tended to float around 4th place in the league and 4th highest transfer spend.

And based on an attendance of around 44,000 per home game before the extended Main Stand opened. The cost of a season ticket had over the years, been high because of Anfield's lowish capacity and you still get a couple of games 'free' over general admission prices if you're fortunate to get in to all the PL games.

ST prices have been frozen for a couple of years and hopefully will continue to be.

Im not in agreement with the statement arsenal's general seassies included the price of 7 'cup' games. To my knowledge they got a a couple of games in the domestic cups and European games were extra although the seassie gave the holder priority rights to purchase them.

  2. What a massive step down from Napoli to everton. Im guessing the reputed £11m a year contract first attracted him to everton? I mean it's a win win for him. Massive pay off if he's sacked and even if they bumbled along at the bottom of the Prem while he is there, he's still drawing £11m a year.

For a group of fans constantly going on about how we're "always the victims" they certainly do a lot of crying about how they keep getting treated unfairly and how everything is a conspiracy against them.

Spot on mate. They call us self pity city, victims yet they and their club are always 'seething' over something. The latest is the arteta story. They must have given permission for arsenal to talk to him surely?

All this just re inforces the 'small club' mentality prevalent within their club. They are really just a Gillingham FC backed by an oil nation.

No disresppect to Gillingham who probably would react a lot better than this lot if they were in their position. But, at the end of the day, if Gillingham had of held on in that 3rd tier play off final, just where would manchester city fc be now, bankrupt and in League Two?

  4. I think that's the best draw for us and we're not even playing in it! Two tough derbies for city and even Villa will fancy their chances over 2 legs even if I expect Leicester to prevail.

city v Leicester in the final and another tough game for both of them on paper at least. Also if they both get to the final, that's 3 times they'll play each other in fairly quick order.

  5. I said before the 'semis' that we had the tougher game, Flamengo hardly had to break sweat in their game even if they did go a goal behind. We've been running on fumes for a couple of games now and regular sick notes Matip and Lovren havent helped matters.

Much as Id love us to win this (and do want to win it), I dont want it at the expense of losing on Boxing Day for a number of reasons. Id rather lose to Flamengo than Leicester because you know how it is in the league. God help us if it goes to extra time.

While teams might not quite shit themselves at the thought of playing us in the Prem, if \ when we do lose a league game, some teams will take it as a sign we can lose and give us harder games (as if they arent hard enough already but, you surely get my drift?).

  6. Never in doubt! Thank fuck we didnt have to go to extra time. Lovely finish by Bobby, didnt lash it, just a deft touch. Great work by Mo and nice cross by Trent.

Hopefully Virgil will have recovered because I think we'll be in trouble with Joe and Hendo in the centre of defence against Flamengo. Even so, I thought Hendo had a good game.

I just hope these games dont fuck us over for the league.

  7. Looking like it is, a patched together side. We look like we want to walk the ball into the net too often. The Monteray lads are having a pop on sight and it's very nearly paid off for them.

Massive shame we conceeded so quickly but with a cobbled together defence, these things happen. If not for Ali we'd be up shit creek here.

Origi has been very poor. Had a chance to cross it late on in that half, pissed about and lost possession. Ox and Shaq not doing a lot either. Thought Lallana got through a lot of work.

Nicely taken goal by Naby. Think this is going to be on a knife edge what with the linos not flagging, a makeshift team and Monterey taking pot shots. Bunch of falling down twats though, any little contact and they're rolling on the ground.

  8. Im under no illusion one or two at most have a real chance to get into the first team squad never mind team. Elliot, Hoever and maybe van den Berg  in that order are the only ones likely to get a sniff of the first team squad. And that's if we manage to keep hold of Hoever if he doesnt get impatient.

But fucking hell, come on, these are 19 years old on average and are wearing the shirt. It doesnt matter whether they should or shouldnt be playing. The club has been forced into this position by couldnt give a fuck footballing authorities.

People moaning at these lads giving it their best might have preferred the 'elite' first team or something of it, to be playing here. But then what you going to say if the club had sent these lads to the World Club Championship and got a right ragging by  Monter fucky rey then mullered again by some rag arsed team from nowhere in a 3rd \ 4th place play off. You cant have it both ways.

If Villa had of had to play a decent championship side tonight, without 2 or 3 lucky breaks for goals tonight, they wouldnt be looking certs for an EFL Cup semi. Oh, and I see city have a massive game tomorrow night against Oxford United. As I said, the EFL should be hanging their head in shame.

I really, really wish we jib this cup off from next season. Shanks didnt care for it and didnt bother entering the club in it for the first couple of seasons. He never won it either because it was always his lowest priority. We arent EFL fucking members and we shouldnt be in it but, whatever the final score tonight, well in lads. You gave it your best shot.

  9. Interesting draw. Pretty confident we'll take them over 2 legs. Have a nice 10 day break after the 2nd leg before we play our next league game after as well. Nice window to recouperate and the big push for the title.

I think city will be too strong for Real over 2 legs as well. The tactically inept (in my opinion) Lampard will be toast in his clash. Spurs will surely be too strong for Leipzig.
