Star Trek - The Shit, or Just Shit?

Obviously I havent seen any of this but, it's depressing what they have done with our 'Trek' since the TNG films finished.

Scouting for toys on Yesterday. Some guy who looks a little like a washed and scrubbed Worsel Gummage had collected every Matchbox toy from 1961 to 1982. Programme was about him auctioning off this collection. One Matchbox toy truck went for 10 grand, yes 10 grand! It was the only one of it's kind and was specially manufactured for the head of General Motors. In total, his collection sold for just over £400,000 before commission. Really good viewing even if it did leave me a little envious that I never liked Matchbox cars when I was a kid. 8 out of 10.

Yes, Heysel is the root of it. It's been repeatedly used by their fans as the sole reason for their demise so much so that Heysel is now a badge of honour for them. All clubs were affected by the ban. They forget or ignore we served an extra year after English clubs were re admitted. Some fans did get prison sentences and virtually all clubs in UEFA have forgiven but not forgotten, rightly, the terrible events of Heysel. Only one set of fans parade a flag around PL grounds regarding the 39 fans who died that night. No points for knowing which club's fans that is. 'What would everton do?' This as well. The massive injection of cash Moshiri has injected into the club has been pissed up against the wall and not propelled them to where they think they should be. There's some justification in that, over £500m and you've gone from outside the top 6 or 7 to fighting relegation. Dom King has pointed the finger at Moshiri and he maybe should carry some of the responsibility. But the everton fans have driven the last 4 or 5 managers out of the club. One didnt even get his feet through the door and they rejected him, Fonseca(?). Now, there's a groundswell of opinion to get rid of Fwank, their fanbase choosen one after less than 70 days. Some going there! This as well. The shite's problem seems to be one of aggression every way they turn. There was a coming together after Hillsbrough but I believe that started evaporating soon after the 89 Cup Final. You'd think that after winning the cup in 95(?), they could have turned a corner regarding their attitude towards the effects of Hysel but again if there was, it soon evaporated quicker than a snowball in hell after we started winning trophies pretty regularly from 2001 while their own drought increased. Ive no time for these cunts now. Ma was a blue and she'd be horrified at this shit. There's undoubtedly numerous decent old school blues and I bear them no ill will, but the rest, fuck off. Bankruptcy will let them off the hook somewhat so I really do hope they slip through the Championship and end up in League One.

Bayern do not have an entire footballing governing body/media/referees/politicians operating together to ensure they remain successful, them lot do. Look at after the initial covid outbreak, any self respecting country would have voided the league, but no. Because they were top it was essential that football restart and lives be lost as a consequence of that. EverTheOptimist Player Valuation: £8m Today at 2:14 PM Add bookmark #54,466 Bayern will destroy them Only 1 league in Europe voided their league, Holland. France stopped the season and announced PSG as champions. Every other league in Europe continued the season under closed doors, UEFA competitions also continued behind closed doors. They talk bullshit like a lot of inbreds do. Then they start feeding off each others insecurities and beliefs. Im not surprised the cunt raised voiding the league, again and, as far as Im aware all the PL clubs eventually wanted the league to be completed. Did their club vote Yes to continue or not? It's an easy question to ask of their club. If the 'football authorities' wanted or helped us to the league in 2019/20. why didnt they in 2014 and 2018/19 when we lost it from a seemingly winning position? I dont think any European league 'voided' their season though? Holland and Belgium curtailed theirs and declared the club at the top of their league champions. All the others completed the season behind closed doors as far as I know.

    Summer 2022 Transfer Thread

This is what I like to hear. No pissing about by the club and waiting until the last minute to get deals done. Yes, I know the 'deal' to sign him in the last window was last minute and fell through but that all seems to have been down to Fulham being arses. Bar the submission of documents to the PL, this is done and dusted so getting the medical done now would have been part and parcel of that. Why delay the medical if everything between the clubs and player is agreed? Just seems logical to me.

Man City - the new bitters?

The same journo's who all failed to call out Abramovich until the shit hit the fan in Ukraine. Then they were falling over themselves to tell how much they knew about his shady money pumped into chelsea. They're still keeping mum about usmanov and the shite.

No. But if you knew Cheetos smelled like your dog's feet, you must have sniffed it's feet to know!

    Who stays up?

I think united beat them. They may get a point off Leicester, depends which Leicester turns up. We beat them, chelsea beat them then they have Leicester again away and I think Leicester beat them in that game. Watford away and they may scrape a point. Brentford at home is their last chance for a win but again, depends on which Brentford turns up. They arent getting anything from Palace or arsenal. I make that 5 points and them finishing on 30. Burnley need 7 points to better that and Watford 9.
  15. I dont think it would have worked out for him here under Jurgen. Wasnt he diagnosed with an illness that sapped his strength? Just dont see how he would have been able to match the intensity of our game under Jurgen.

If it's good enough for Fowler to say 'Soz, Dave' to Seaman that time he allegedly dived at Highbury, it's good enough for me!

Star Trek - The Shit, or Just Shit?

I think Stewart had a lot more 'creative' input on TNG and the films than people think. It cant be a co incidence that numerous British actors made small one off cameo appearances in TNG especially as they were probably unheard of in US tv circles. I also think it's unlikely anyone in the US would dream up describing Worf's reactivated puberty in ST:Insurrection, Jah Da Lah aka, 'Jack the lad,' a purely British expression, either!

    Flying. Everything planes.

A Seafire war plane has taken to the skies again, 49 years after being hauled out of a scrapyard in a derelict state. The Seafire MKXVII was flown at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset, on Tuesday after it became the latest addition to the Navy Wings Heritage Centre. The aircraft is the Royal Navy version of the Spitfire and this is the only airworthy MkXVII and one of only two flying Seafires in the world. The Seafire was discontinued in 1953 and this particular model was scrapped around the same time. It was not until 1973, almost 20 years later, that it was re-discovered in a derelict state in a scrapyard in Warrington by Peter Arnold, a Spitfire historian. In 2001, the plane was purchased by Tim Manna, a former US Navy pilot, and restored to full flying condition by Kennet Aviation at North Weald. In November 2021, Navy Wings, which works to preserve Britain’s naval aviation heritage, bought the aircraft. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/04/06/pictured-seafire-seaplane-flies-49-years-hauled-scrapyard/

Their last 9 PL results are LWLLLLWLL. I think they'll only pick up points against Watford and Brentford. The mancs arent doing them any favours as they want European qualification.
