Not really, I just think it's an odd move to expel Lib Dem voters if your intention is to win back people who voted Lib Dem/Green/Change.
I think it’d be folly to target those switching as a protest vote in an election that doesn’t actually do anything by keeping somebody like AC. What they need to do is promise a second referendum, which they’ve done. Labour remain the only party who actually have a chance of either softening or even stopping Brexit. If people are voting Lib Dem and Greens in the hope it’ll stop Brexit, they’re sadly mistaken.

Far be it from me to tell Labour how to run their party, but it's certainly an odd way of trying to win back the millions of Labour voters who switched to the Lib Dems and Greens.
Many Lib Dem and Green Party voters who are big fans of Alister Campbell, is there?

Strontium Dog absolutely bossing the last page or two.

So now coming second in an election is bad? Who knew?
I did.

Oh, okay, I thought it was pretty clear. I think staying in the EU is good for the country. I think the results last night make a second referendum, which is the most realistic path to remaining in the EU, more likely.
How does it, though? I also think staying in is better, but how does having a surge with more leavers than remainers make it more likely for a second ref? It sounds like fantasy.

Yet you would happily back a movement led by someone who explicitly said that he would like to replace NHS with private insurance? How is that not a confused stance?
See below for link.
Let’s take baby steps with this, because you don’t seem to understand...
Gnasher is a total fucking idiot.

Yeah didnt you get the message? Its what ive been consitent in saying. You luvvies are not in touch with reality. The results say it loud and clear.
You’re very strange.

Funny because I thought I did. Which part of it wasn't answered?
You said that it’s good for the country. I asked what it achieves. I’m still unclear on how Lib Dems coming second in an election where the elected representatives are joining an organisation the country is leaving, and that gives them no power over what goes on in the country. So, you said it is good for the country, I’m asking what it achieves.

Awww... not to worry boys put a cold flannel on the brow of your heads, tilt head back and take deep breaths.
There you go.
Do actually have something to say?

I am allowed to have a life away from this forum, I hope.
Let's put the "overwhelming victory" for the Brexit Party in context. 17.4 million people voted to leave the United Kingdom. Less than a third of that number turned out on Thursday to vote for the Hard Brexit parties (Brexit Party/UKIP).
I'm buoyant because the Hard Remain parties (Lib Dem/Green/Nats/Change) outpolled the Hard Brexit parties, demonstrating that we cannot and should not be ignored.
And of course, those parties who have spinelessly tried to plough some middle ground on this most polarising of issues were punished as they deserved to be.
You didn’t answer my question, Stronts.

And what will it achieve? Considering both the Brexit party were the overwhelming victors and that the remain MEPs can do fuck all and will be out of a job soon, how is it good for the country and what will happen that improves the country?
You’re buoyant because our ‘team’ scored a goal. Evertonian behaviour. You don’t have to win to be a winner, because you finished a bit higher.

What utter dogshit. Nobody is disregarding anyone's vote. We just think the people who narrowly voted to leave should be asked if this is definitely what they want, now that they actually know what leaving entails. And yes, that is both liberal and democratic.
I've never, not even once, got a reply to the 'how does more democracy equal less democracy' question.

There are now loads more Remain MEPs, I'd say that's great for the country.

You could try commenting on the link but that would invole breaking away from your stockholm syndrom.
Why would I need to comment on that link? If you’ve read a single thing I’ve typed in the last 10 years you’ll have seen that I’m a strong critic of privatisation in the NHS.

I told you i know farage wants to privatise the nhs so once again i ask what is your point?
That you and your saviour Farage clearly want to fuck over working people with your disgusting hatred and distraction of the NHS. Luvvie POS.

One of the light-hearted funny bits of all of this is seeing the Lib Dems believing they are relevant again.
Yeah, a protest vote that gets them some sets in an organisation we are leaving, and has no real sway over British politics at a time where it is in crisis. Great job.

Do you agree the benefit policy is the hallmark of an extreme right wing govt?
If your answer is no i suggest you take leave of your computer for and stroll down to a shopping centre past the scores of homeless sleeping on the pavements and visit your local food bank then come back and tell me how far right you think this govt is.
The answer is no. Mainly because I actually understand what I’m talking about.
-

Yes it is. You obviously fail to see the impact the benefit sanctions are having on the country. Only an extreme right wing govt would continue to push such punishment on the most vunerable.
Never go full Dennis Tooth.
Should Corbyn remain as Labour leader?

Well, like you, I 'guess' that could be true. It's a bit of a leap, but it could be. However, if they actually want a party that's able to deliver some sort of second referendum then the only party that is going to be able to do it - rightly, wrongly, shit-electoral-system, whatever regardless - is the Labour Party. I'm not thrilled about that, in fact I hate it. That said, the less we talk of Campbell's purity and those who share his view, the the better. it's strange, because you've always been somebody to rip on the likes of Campbell. I hate the cunt but Labour needs somebody like him to get a job done. Either way, he's quite far from being anything like Lib Dems or Greens on most issues, so I'd say anybody not voting for Labour because of kicking out Campbell for breaking rules isn't likely to vote Labour anyway.
