  1. Brilliant. I'm so stupid and you're so smart that you going slow might allow me to catch up with you. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this so I can see. I'll take your points one by one so that I - me - understand them. Okay? No, I didn't. This is wrong. I quoted and bolded a section from their website mentioning this. I've explained it to you since a number of times. They said they do .22 at their range, which as the actual picture of their range shows is indoors. They don't shoot full bore - which is 7.62 NATO - in that range because they can't. It explains on their website, which I quoted and bolded, that they do occasionally shoot full bore but that they do it at other ranges. No, I didn't. This is wrong. It explains on their website, which I quoted and bolded, that they do occasionally shoot full bore but that they do it at other ranges. No, I didn't. This is wrong. I spoke about Epsom's range, which is where they shoot .22 calibre pellets. I said that there are catapults which are more dangerous than those. There are. No, I didn't. I posted a picture of their range. The actual one. The full range. You, for some reason, posted a picture of the national range at Bisley, which is where they shoot fullbore, and pretended it was Epsom school. You did this either because you're ignorant or because you're dishonest. This is a running theme with you. It's not Epson, it's Bisley. You'd have to be a fucking good shot to hit a target from there. You full bore cunt. No, I posted facts which are still there and obvious to people who can actually read properly. You, on the other hand, tried to pass off pictures of somewhere else. You, like always, are a brazen fucking liar. 1) There's hundreds of shooting clubs. People who shoot pellets competitively use them. I've no issue with this. Military and training corps use them (like I did). I've no issue with this. I believe in stringent gun laws and heavy restrictions and controls on which weapons and guns people can own. We have sensible gun laws right now, but I'm not authoritarian enough to call for a blanket ban on competitive shooting weapons like you have. For some reason you've tried to paint me as a some private school toff who knows about gun ranges in schools. I didn't go to private school. You're making it up and nobody is buying it. 2) Defending the BBC. What? I have long called for the BBC to be defunded. When have I 'defended the BBC'? 3) I've never been upset of disrespect to the monarchy. You've made it up and had to apologise about it yesterday, yet you're repeating the lie today. What sort of weirdo are you? Yes, the more things you make up, the long the made up list gets. Full bore cunt.
  2. More selective editing, what in addition to yesterday where you had to embarrassingly apologise for making up that I was selectively editing. And yeah, I'm and idiot and you're smart; Gnasher's upside down world where he gets to post pictures of places that aren't at Epsom school and just brush it off. You're spiralling. Keep windmilling those arms though. The irony, of course, is that you made up a quote paraphrasing something I said, which was talking about .22 rifles and there being more dangerous catapults. Then you try to use that lie to insult me by calling me an idiot. Do you think anybody is buying this nonsense? This is entirely down to you not being able to calmly read something and take in its actual meaning rather than some half-baked version your addled brain jumbles together. It's making you look like such a cunt, all across the forum.
  3. I didn't leave it off, you absolute moron, I listed what their website says. Their websites says they occasionally fire full bore and do so at other ranges. The picture you provided is a student of Epsom college at a different range - in this case it's the national range at Bisley. I've given you this information, but you just chose to keep on and on being an ignorant twat. If you could read you'd be dangerous.
  4. They'd already fucked the Queen off most of their money, with only the $5 note having her on it. Not a big change, so seems sensible.
  5. Well, you've not corrected anything you've just doubled down on your own ignorance. Funny to see you harping on about authoritarian behaviour that doesn't exist in the Starmer thread, then talking about full bans of guns and rifles including .22. What a muppet. And why would I know anything about little posh kids and private schools? Are you teeing up another lie?
  6. No, I’ve taken the word of their official website and accompanying photographic evidence. You’re wrong. Again. You lying rat. You won’t even back down when the official line shows you to be talking bollocks. You’ve never once ‘caught me out’ doing anything. You’re incapable. How many threads do you have to expose yourself as a blithering moron and a liar before you take a step back and actually think.
  7. Is superstarmi something you came up with yourself or is it somebody’s autocorrect mistake from Twitter. Anyway, don’t shoot us messengers, respond to the point about pretending there’s a banned list.
  8. Yeah, YouTube on the telly was a bizarre thing when I first started to watch it on the big tv. Now it’s pretty often that I’ll watch one of Linus Tech Tips new videos or something. Just sitting watching the weekly soaps fills me with dread.
  9. Made me actually laugh. With my actual mouth. Poor Gnash. I’ll do a proper response to Crick’s actual points later, I was up late on a conference call with yanks, so I’m currently in the kitchen trying to make something with a passing resemblance to edible human food.
  10. That’s shooting the message though. I mean, if the messenger is known to be a fraud then I often dismiss the messenger, but each stated thing really needs to be judged on its own merits. Unless Gnasher is the messenger, then you can send him to the Epsom Rifle club for some .22 action.
  11. Why are you playing the victim here. You’re allowed to post what you want. People are allowed to reply how they want. Claiming you can’t post something or talking about entirely fabricated ban lists make you look soft. They don’t exist.
  12. You don’t need to make things up to try to score a point. Post him as much as you want. All day long. Just don’t expect people not to respond. Is that what you want here, to be able to tell fibs completely unchecked? To post articles and opinions and nobody question the content or the organisation? It’s just not how open forums work, Gnasher.
  13. That’s not the consensus, it’s absolutely fine - necessary, I’d argue - to question it. Questioning things isn’t the issue, it’s coming to unsound conclusions and pushing them as a baseless narrative that’s the issue. I actually agree with you, it’s not enough that he just has a different colour rosette. But the politics he’s espousing are better than the ones offered by the Tories, the levels of competence are higher too. For now, in a two horse race, that’s enough for me to vote Labour. I’m bitterly disappointed about PR, but that’s turkeys voting for Christmas so it’s unlikely until he’s on his way out. He’s clearly planning a long stint in power.
  14. This’ll be dismissed as ‘shoot the messenger’ stuff, but it’s golden; looks like Crick has spotted a gap in the market and is playing to that niche.
  15. It’s a shot at you trying to pass it off as The Andrew Marr show. I don’t care about where he says it, I care about what he says; I disagree with his conclusions on their own merits, or lack of them. I just wanted to pick up on the little porkie you told. I shouldn’t have to join in the lie or be accused of having issue with the medium.
  16. Interesting take on Not the Andrew Marr Show zoom call interview.
  17. To be fair, he’d probably debate like a civilised human if he was on here. I’d certainly challenge the logic he uses in that video and ask for evidence of claims he makes. If he could provide that, maybe he’d be saying it on the actual Andrew Marr show and not on a Zoom call ‘show’.
  18. I was going off what they said on their website, which I put above the express. It says this, which is that it’s for .22 and full bore is at other ranges. Unless there’s some difference between the club and whatever the school has. ‘Formed over 70 years ago with a history stretching back to the Home Guard, Epsom Rifle Club meets on each Tuesday and Thursday evening to shoot .22 prone rifle. Guest nights for those interested in shooting with Epsom RC are arranged throughout the year (subject to demand) and there are two coaching sessions per month open to both Probationers and existing members alike, for advice and guidance. Our facilities include an indoor heated 25-yard range with eight firing points, allowing shooting to be carried out whatever the season. We have club competitions and club members also participate in County (SCSBRA) and National (NSRA) level competitions and there are a few fullbore events held at other ranges throughout the year since the club became a listed fullbore club under NRA affiliation in 2016.’ Please note: The Club's facilities do not readily support the use of air rifles and standing shooting is not possible at all. This is an actual picture of the range from their site.
  19. Yeah, I would download something that I've heard is good on the BBC or whatever. The days of tuning in at a specific time seem to be gone for most people, which is convenient and really handy that you don't miss anything, but also it doesn't necessitate the get-together as much. I do miss Saturday nights though.
  20. I put rarely. I’ll watch if there’s a sporting event on like the World Cup or Wimbledon or if the CL is on ITV or whatever. I never watch any normal TV anymore though. I can go months without ever using the ‘live tv’ part of the TV. I’ll occasionally stream the news on YouTube but that’s only for global events really.
  21. Growing up, Saturday night TV was a pretty big deal at my Mum’s house. We’d all be home by 4 or 5 PM, have our evening meal, get bathed and in our PJs and dressing gown and we’d settle down to watch the Saturday night telly. You know, whatever was on back then: Catchphrase (it’s good but it’s not right), Generation Game (or something else with Brucie Gurning his way through), Blind Date (with our Cilla), Noel’s House Party (with that cunt Mr Blobby), that one where you had to guess whether some fucker could do the thing he said he could (?), or some such delight. We’d often have a chocolate bar on a Saturday night too (which is the only time we would ever get to have something a like a snickers or twix, or whatever). Now… I wouldn’t even know what plays on normal telly for normal people who do normal things, it’s all Netflix or something I’ve downloaded. It doesn’t feel anywhere near as good. So do you still watch the box? What did you used to watch back in the day? Did you used to have the same Saturday night experience (which seemed to involve way, way more talcum powder than it does now). Answer the poll. Talking about general TV here. Like the five normal channels and maybe some Sky TV. Footy doesn’t count as regular, that’s a sporting event. So if it’s just that, choose rarely.
  22. It’s a pellet shooting range for competition target shooting. I swear, the idea that these competition ranges, which are basically a room with paper target at the end, are some gun culture swilling death zones rather than type of thing in the video below, is such a strange take to anybody who has ever fired these rifles. You’re strapped in to the point your arm feels like it’s going to fall off, you are qualified on the weapon and weapon safety, and you. Basically flick a bit of lead half the size of a tic-tac into a bit of paper. There’s more dangerous catapults on general sale.
  23. In my world? Good stuff. No, it’s just a fact there’s loads of rifle ranges and pistol clubs in the UK. There’s nearly 700 thousand firearms and shotgun licences issued in the UK (including 2000 to 14-17 year olds and 150 to kids under 13, the youngest being 7). I’ve only fired weapons at military ranges, not whatever posho school you’re imagining I went to. I’ve no idea how many schools have ranges. I’d imagine most use local clubs. It’s competitive pellet shooting that has been around for ages. None of this adds up to gun culture you’re talking about. This isn’t Compton or Texans firing off howitzers. I get that you’re coming from this from a place of safety for kids, but you’re jumping to conclusions and making connections without really knowing about the situation. This was somebody who killed his wife and kid with a licensed shotgun. This isn’t about a competitive range at a school.
