  1. Appreciate you digging that up, I either didn't see it or read it and didn't attribute it to you. Obviously there are some things I see differently (Her being Cornyn's continuity candidate isn't a good thing, in my view, her vagina being relevant, etc) but I don't deny they are factors. I hope they get this shit sorted sooner rather than later.
  2. What is it about Bailey that you like? I struggle to see what either qualifies her to be Labour leader - if there is such a qualification - or sets her out to be electable.
  3. It’d be a hazard for Koppites who would continually have the ball kicked at them every time he tried to cross it.
  4. it’s a testament to how well things are going under Klopp and Edwards that this thread is the on the second page. Gone are the days when we’d spend hundreds and hundreds of pages speculating on incoming players and arguments about how good or bad they’d be. It seems our collected opinion on this is ‘they’ve got it covered’. I’d like to see some new players in the summer, just to add a few things through the squad and to replace a few players and add cover to the stars. I also thing we need one more midfielder who can drive from deep. Also, what do people make of Kalvin Phillips? He looks like a player ripe for the picking prior to promotion. You can never really tell if they can make the step up but he seems to have the raw ability.
  5. A great manager who did great for his club. I have no hard feelings against him, certainly not enough to wish him any ill will in his retirement or laugh at the guy. He's an elderly man with a great legacy. I might not have liked him base on his actions and the rivalry, but you can't let that stuff last forever. The fact that United are a pile of piss right now is enough.
  6. Yeah, and they don't seem to check the actual moment the ball leaves the foot of the passing player either. What's the point in checking armpits vs kneecaps if you're judging from the wrong moment?
  7. Why do these refs never go and look at the screen themselves in this country?
  8. Yep. No surprise that we are back to being so stingy at the back with him and Van Dijk. It seems a great partnership. I really like Matip, too. He's an excellent player and forms a decent partnership. Though I'd stick with Gomez for as long as he is fit. It has taken him a while to come back from that horrendous injury but he seems to be back on it now. The pace at the back is huge.
  9. Surely there has been expert analysis into how accurate the technology is already, right? You know what surprises me, it's the lack of sensors used on the ball and in the player's shirts. The sensors used in smart phones and other devices are fucking tiny. I don't understand why each boot doesn't have a sensor in the toe and/or heel that gives real time, automated feedback to the ref. The lack of cameras with high frame rate is incredible, to be honest. Ah well, at least it's not in a popular sport with 10s or 100s of millions of dollars on the table that's watched by billions of people around the world every week. Yeah, I think that's right. We saw the strengths and weaknesses of it yesterday, and nothing about that was down to the tech itself. It rightly ensured a win and a goal for us, but also the rules are fucky and seem incompatible with such accurate measurement of offside. The spirit of the offside rule is surely to ensure that the attacker doesn't have an unfair advantage. He was level - to the eye - and I don't think anybody would have begrudged them that goal had it not been checked. That's not to say it should have stood, because all matches are being judged by that now. What I find strange is that it's not really being used to check decisions, but to check events. Rightly it checked the ref's decision to disallow Mane's goal. Bang. Perfect use of technology. But there wasn't a clear error by the linesman who flagged somebody offside, it was just checked and found that there was a millimetre of a toenail offside.
  10. @Caramac Any chance of a gif of that twat’s face when he was celebrating?
  11. Yeah, bullshit but correct. We’ve had goals chalked off for exactly that.
  12. I think it has shown both the strengths and weaknesses. Firstly, overruling the red was absolutely the right call and the reason I wanted it to be in the game. The second is fucking ridiculous. His shoelace was, on nineteenth view and quantum measurement, three atoms offside. I mean, I get that offside is offside, but fuck me. Is that a clear and obvious error?
  13. Agree. It’s been a long time since Lallana was good enough to play for this side, in my opinion. If ever.
  14. Yeah, really needs to put one in today. I can’t see him getting many games once Minamino comes in.
  15. Even though I much prefer Celtic to Rangers, I think I’d like to Stevie get the league title there. Plus, it’s piss Bjornebye off.
  16. Unbelievable reaction from Stevie. Seems to be doing very well up there.
  17. What do you mean 'what about Buendia'? He was on the bloody list that you used as evidence that he's a great dribbler. Isn't it okay to look at the other people who, if your evidence is actually proof of quality of dribbling, are also great dribblers because they're on the list?
  18. Now now, stop being elitist. Norwich's Buendia and Newcastle's Maxthingy are some of the best dribblers in Europe. Mane, on the other hand... not a mention. Must be shite at it.
  19. Yes. You have. Every single time he does something. Every one hundred attempts when it comes off, you’ll happily mention how good he is and how much you like him. The other 99 times? Nope. I’m just waiting for Harry Winks, who is similarly wank, to do something good in the middle of his dreadful form, then bang... told you he was great.
  20. It’s not that I give a shit about the player, as we will never sign him. I do dislike somebody waiting months and months for somebody to stop being shit and do something, then bumping themselves the second they do something good, as if all the shit is washed away. It’s irksome.
  21. Michael Ricketts, Zaki, Mido, Roque Santa Cruz, and Michu all in the same side. With Heaton in goal, Traore on the wing, and big H at the back. Perfection.
