  1. It depends if (let's say Amorim is manager) he rates anyone to play in the middle spot. Maybe he would like van Dijk there and he'll still play almost every game, but that's not known.
  2. The give Matip one more season argument would make sense in this context. You would think he'd make sense as another experienced player who suits the middle CB role very well. Especially that he did actually play holding midfield in his career at one point and he is always technically fantastic.
  3. That is the absolute certainty. If Amorim becomes our manager, we are signing a left footed CB.
  4. As to why Elliott doesn't start in favour of Gravenberch, it's probably height. Especially against this sort of team, you have to defend set pieces. Half the reason Gravenberch is rated is because he's one of those "technically gifted for a big man" players and it's a trend right now to favour tall players. City and Arsenal are also trying to be as tall as possible, with all the CB's.
  5. We'll see in a month and a bit.
  6. Yes and to be fair to us, theres been some crucial refereeing decisions go against us in big games as well. We could be further ahead. This team for me is like a lighter version of 19-20; we are not amazing in matches but it has been a results machine.
  7. I honestly do think as well we are the 3rd best team, but it hasnt mattered yet. We just know how to win so far. And the gap between sides is not really big.
  8. Honestly, it's one of the funniest managerial jobs at a big club of all time. They are top in shots conceded in the league in 2024 and for that to be the case at a club like Man United, it has to be somewhat intentional. He probably thinks that by setting up to allow all these shots, it's actually reducing the danger of the shots, or something like that. It's absolute galaxy brain stuff.
  9. Will always remember the absolute beatdown the RedmenTV guy gave to the Stretford Paddock guy. It was about something like who would be better, us under Klopp, or United under Mourinho. Redmen guy just farted in his face. Everything he said came true.
  10. This was coming to United, also. You can't be as lucky as they've been and not have the opposite happen at some point. Mentally, they could be shot after that.
  11. Mainoo looks talented but the fact he's gotten an England cap is madness. Maybe he will have deserved it in retrospect, but he is getting a fast-track he shouldn't be getting.
  12. Not having it. I want apologies. Mea culpa's. Acknowledgements of wrongness.
  13. Professional teams give up because they're made to give up. We didn't do remotely enough for that possibility to even enter their minds.
  14. There are people on here who need to apologize about Macca, if they have any integrity.
  15. Mac Allister, the former wipping boy, Gakpo, the current wipping boy, keeping us in the title race.
  16. Dream come true for you, he's just been hacked by some grock.
  17. Yeah, we're trying to coast through this while they're defending hard with everyone back. It's not made for a good game.
  18. The crowd shit themselves at the mere sight of a team creating something.
  19. To be fair, I do feel for most clubs who don't have the means that other clubs do. It's a flaw in the economics of football; there is an inherent massive level of unfairness. That said, Forest are not one of those clubs and they can fuck off.
  20. Yeah, I don't know how anyone can be so sure Branthwaite is a good footballer. Yeah, he's 6 foot 5 and athletic, which is great, but he has to hoof it constantly under Dyche and the defensive style he's playing is not similar to anything he would play at a big club. It's a massive scouting job.
  21. Whatever the option that is the best on the ball, because that player doesn't have to be a huge monster defender, the profile is more hybrid left back.
