He contributed to 9 goals in 9 games in the Champions League this season, he's not a total donkey. This is clearly a fake rumour, but he seems like the type of player who could be a good soldier. You could throw him on to chase balls in the channels and batter opposition centre halves. Physically, few players can deal with him and he's fast and mobile.

For a reasonable price I would take Marega. He doesn't suit our style of football but a player with his pace and physicality is always useful no matter what.

Boy could he run between the tackles, though.

Women's football is a good spectator sport. I've been to a few Canada matches and it's a nice experience. Not expensive, you can get good seats but there is still a good turnout. The problem is that it doesn't translate to TV at all. And when you see them up close, they are talented but there's no use likening it to men's football, it's just not the same. Yeah, boys are way bigger, stronger, faster and more athletic in a sport where those things really matter, of course the women won't be able to compete. If you look at it from that perspective, then yeah you'll think women's football stinks.

De Ligt is still raw but at 19 he's played in more big games - and performed well in them - than Maguire has at 26. Between them, a rational person would pick de Ligt every single day.

As to be egalitarian, I think it's right that I alert TLW of my young stud(ette?) to watch in this tournament. Jessie Fleming. 21 years old. #10 for Canada. She's basically a right footed, female Dybala. Top, top player.
