It can't be good to give a contract to a young player that basically covers him for the majority of his career. Of course there will be individuals who will be driven to succeed no matter what they receive as financial reward, but not sure how many are currently sitting in the Chelsea dressing room.

Depends on how long he wants to stay at Liverpool. I can see that in a couple of years a last massive payout would be good for him and the club. Regardless, he's cemented his place as a legend will be this generations' Hunt or Rush.

I gave up at half time, took the dog out for a walk and tried to ignore the updates. If this is how football is going to be in future with cheating on an industrial scale off the pitch and cheating on it, count me out in future. Who wants to be part of a sport where you enter the season knowing you have to sprint every second and still not win, where your opponents waste so much time and are never punished for it. On a positive note, the new kit looks nice.
