  1. As others have alluded to, what was called for today was a little humility. He would have won a fair few fans back today if he'd have shown some of that. As it is he's just pissed off most of the fanbase by acting billy big bollocks after we've endured a long period of shit football. I can understand some of it, he's been under a lot of pressure lately but a hell of a lot of it has been his fault. His biggest problem seems to be that he's started to believe the bullshit he's been spouting and that's a dangerous direction to take for a bullshitter.
  2. Yep, if he had any sense that's exactly what he should have said. But the big headed arrogant fecker can't help himself.
  3. I think you are one of the people he is talking about. He must have an account on here. It's got nothing to do with purchases, tactics, losses etc it's a conspiracy against him. The fucking loon.
  4. Brendan Rodgers accused outsiders of trying to undermine him by claiming they are whipping up "hysteria" to try and get him the sack. The under-pressure Liverpool manager recorded a first win in seven games as Aston Villa were defeated 3-2 on Saturday, and the Northern Irishman is confident he has his players' backing. But he feels others are trying to destabilise him and the club as he argued that Liverpool's results compare favourably with those of many of their rivals. "I am pretty confident that there is a group of people that don't want me here," he said in a news conference. "In all competitions, we have lost less games than Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal. The hysteria around ourselves is interesting to note. "Sometimes we haven't [even] lost games and the hysteria around it is pretty clear. There is maybe something else going on from behind." Asked if he meant behind the scenes at Anfield, Rodgers clarified: "I am talking about people outside here. I never worried about the players. They have been absolutely brilliant." http://www.espnfc.co...me-at-liverpool
  5. In the words of a service veteran "I'm not offended by Corbyn not singing, buy I am offended by politicians who sell guns to tyrants"
  6. Instant multi millionaire, just spout enough old guff to convince the owners you know what you're talking about. Set about your plan and enough fucking idiot fans (TK421) will back you even if you know fuck all, even if the results are shit, even if it's pretty obvious you're clueless. Sit back and wait for the pay off. I'm surprised there isn't a queue already.
  7. Except when before a European game of ours he starts going on about the ghost goal against chelsea or taking our captain off so they can applaud him. Except for that. He can't believe he got the job, like a lottery winner he's still buzzing off it. He's never grown in to the job, just dragged us down to his level. Hodgson was never our manager, you must have imagined that.
  8. Reading across a lot of the forums there are a lot of fans on the brink of packing it in. At £50 for a home ticket and a lot more for away tickets many are struggling to cope. Add to that you go and get served up a shit sandwich of a game and you can see how it could collapse. Away fans are a different breed, you don't just pick thousands of them up from nowhere, you don't pick up that many at all when they're going to watch utter shite. The jester hats at Anfield will only go for so long before they get tired of paying Thomas Cook hundreds for watch that turgid shite. it's amazing how quickly those thousands of fans just waiting for a ticket or a season ticket just dry up once a team go massively into decline. Football fans are fickle and at the price they're expected to pay I'd say they are entitled to be.
  9. "Our notion in the game is always to dominate the ball," said Rodgers last month. "I've been in football a long time and my emphasis has always been possession."
  10. I quite agree, no good can come of this now but the level of support shown to Brendan in the summer along with FSG being clueless means he won't be getting sacked any time soon in my opinion.
