RIP to a proper Legend,  his body of work is unbelievably impressive I never knew he worked with Sinatra and did the soundtrack for the film Alfie

Sonny Rollins did the Alfie soundtrack, unless I'm missing something?

Fleetwood Mac ended in May 1970.

I'm not a fan of the AOR Fleetwood Mac stuff myself but that's a daft comment.

Kiln House is a really good LP too (September 1970 release).

  3. Dead body found about two minutes from my flat last night, with the head 20ft down the street.

The two rumours circulating are either he jumped from South Bridge & a coach took his head off or the two parts were thrown out of a moving car.

One of the busiest parts of the city (Cowgate) was evacuated last night about 9pm, must've been hundreds, even thousands of folk thrown out the pubs & clubs. Also pictures all over Twitter and footage of wee dafties playing with the head, probably thinking it was a Halloween prop.

Feel like I need to preface any Nunez comment as he's quite polarising by saying I'm neutral....I thought that until I saw on the replay he flicks his head back, he was just trying to glance it goalwards but missed it entirely.

Quite possibly. I missed the game today & they only showed one quick angle of it (the attempted header) on MOTD.

Great cross by Gakpo either way.

  5. The Juror

Mid 90s caper where Demi Moore is on a jury trying a mafia head honcho & Alec Baldwin is the hitman tasked with 'persuading' her to get a not guilty verdict. A bit daft but entertaining enough. 6.5/10

    The Chamber

Another mid 90s one where Gene Hackman is a racist, child murderer on death row & his grandson is his lawyer in the last few days. Fair to middling effort with the usual masterful Hackman performance. 7/10

  6. I'm the opposite, I can find a bird really attractive but if I see a tattoo on her thigh or something, she can fuck off.

Absolutely horrible things & as for painting your neck or face, I'd expect people to have grown out of that shite by the time they're 13.

    Yep. Hell of a run.

    Pretty unbelievable really.

I just had a look through his filmography and not convinced he made another great film outside those four.

Having said that, I like Rumble Fish & The Godfather part III & have always wanted to see The Cotton Club.

    Bram Stoker's Dracula

I can take camp horror, but this was shite, only saved by Gary Oldman, a few decent effects and copious boobage. Coppola had as good a 4 film run as any in cinema history, but Christ did he peak early.

The two Godfathers, The Conversation & Apocalypse Now?

Influenced by Steve Marriott, but then grew into something different.

Aye, he started ripping off ELO & Curtis Mayfield instead.

Listen; I think he is a fuckin deranged cunt for doing what he did, but this terrorist manual stuff was something I imagined Kevin Bridges could come up with, hilarious stuff.

That's why I took issue with it.

He has been charged with a terror offence by the police on the back whatever literature he had in his possession, so 'hilarious' is not a word I would associate here.

After reading the last few pages, I'm staying out of this thread in future.

I don't give a shit if he was a terrorist or not, he killed those children. Whether he was a terrorist or not, they're not coming back. And that's what he'll face charges for. The extra charges for alleged terrorism are just a horrible garnish on top of the killing of those babies.

Nothing has been hidden, it's been released when it was allowed to be released.

Some of you need to give your fucking heads a wobble.

People are simply discussing the issues around the case.

I agree in the immediate aftermath, this might be pretty distasteful but now a few months have passed,  he's been charged and the case is going to court, I don't see any issue around a (generally) grown up discussion about it on a Football forum.

silly question again. If he was a terrorist. What difference does it make?

an evil cunt went out and killed 3 innocent kids and devastated 3 families.

if he wasn’t a terrorist, is this to make their pain any less bearable?

It likely makes no difference at all to the families (who, I can't even begin to imagine what they're going though) but it does make a difference to multiple other things that are going on.

Most of them probably read the Quaran, other than that, I really don’t know.

When it comes to a supposed terror manual, why have such manual never been found then?

The US and UK have been fighting terrorism for two decades now after 9/11, they have taken out leaders, groups, members on a big scale, never ever have there been any talk of any terrorism manual.

Nothing I know about terrorist would suggest anything like that exist, in fact actual evidence would point to the opposite. Less written information about anything, the better it is.

You're reading far too much into the word 'manual' here.

Terrorist groups do have shared reading materials & online resources as we've read about them in the news after people have been nabbed.

Here we go, this terrorism manual does not even exist then?

Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups most certainly do have shared reading materials. It looks like that wasn't what the boy had in this case though.

What is an Al Qaeda training manual or a terrorist manual?

What training do they do? Did he get it from Amazon, did he download it from YouTube? Did it come with a terrorist badge? Was it a paperback version, was it a file or as it a video?

So many questions, so few answers.

Considerng everyone claim he is an terrorist because he has git this manual, I would have thought people could tell me more about it.

Why and how did he get this manual, did it have anything to do with his mental health, was he just curious, or did he get recruited by a terrorist network to do these things?

I dont have any answers, but others obviously do, so why not share them?

Has anyone on here actually called him a terrorist outright? As far as I can see people are discussing the issue & the points raised fairly sensibly.

I also seriously doubt anyone on here has read the Al Qaeda material, go into your local library & check that out and you'll be in the clink before you make it to the nearest bus stop.

It looks to me like you've completely misread the situation, on here at least. No-one is claiming to have all the answers.
