  1. Spot on as usual, Code. Having a Gordon Ramsay cookbook is exactly the same as having an Al Qaeda training manual.
  2. I'm sure Brighton is nice enough (I've never been). I was referring more to the travel/accommodation costs and the getting back home after the game.
  3. He wouldn't be the first non-Muslim converted to this form of extremism.
  4. If people are going about murdering in the name of some higher goal, then I think establishing that they are connected and discussing the problem is productive. The constant shouts of 'Racist' every time this stuff is brought up are as unhelpful as the 'Send them back' stuff.
  5. I don't think shutting the conversation down or saying it is 'moot' is the way forward here. As far as I can see, the debate on here is pretty considered and well thought out generally & no one is even remotely saying the rioting was justified.
  6. I tend to stay away from these threads generally so probably overstepped the mark a bit there, apologies. Certainly the last couple of pages on here are applicable though.
  7. I don't necessarily disagree with what you're saying but your complete inability to comment negatively at all on any sort of Islamic issue is interesting. There is more than one problem going on here & they are only going to get worse with our government supporting that shite in the middle east.
  8. Worth remembering that the MI5 do spend a lot of time stopping Islamic terrorist attacks... https://hansard.parliament.uk/Lords/2023-07-24/debates/03C258B1-5D37-4875-A575-204A0BFE9766/ContestUKStrategyForCounteringTerrorism2023
  9. I suspect Slot will ring the changes here and we'll go out. I'm torn on the League Cup these days. It's great to get to the final & win but it's also possibly a blessing in disguise to go out early given the amount of games (including internationals) most of the players play. Trips to the south coast on a Wednesday night probably not ideal for people on Merseyside either.
  10. The nuances in there are a bit much for the public I think. He'd been making poison & reading Al Qaeda manuals before he murdered a load of kids. Them saying he is not a terrorist is likely even worse than stating he is, in terms of the reaction it might provoke.
  11. The boy's been charged with having an Al Qaeda terrorist manual amongst other things. This is going to stir up even more shit this now.
  12. Whenever it started, it's a load of bollocks. Football is a team game.
  13. He blew up about eight seconds before they put it in the net, half the players had stopped playing. I wasn't even watching them play as he was standing with his arm up the whole time. Them moaning about that is absolutely ridiculous.
  14. I can't work out why Szoboszlai didn't start. These big away games are the ones he tends to look half decent in.
  15. That is really bad. Looks like me at 5s after half an hour when one of the 20 year old kids runs past me.
  16. Clean Adrian Brody does Rambo. Nothing to write home about but passed 90 minutes fairly easily. The baddy out of the first series of True Detective is pretty good in it.
  17. Who, Robbo? I've not been watching the same games as you if that's who you mean.
  18. I've gone with the Code spreadsheet torture although I'd quite like to do him & his brother like the end of Casino.
  19. That's a good result that. I thought we were OK for 10 minutes between the two early goals & then for most of the second half but the last 20 minutes of the first half we were awful & unfortunately I think Robertson looks finished at this level. He's been largely shite for both Liverpool & Scotland for months now.
  20. It's hard to get excited about Football full stop. Oil state clubs, VAR, a massacred European Cup, Gary Neville, xG etc. etc. The whole thing is a pile of shite.
  21. 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Football is a team game, questions like that are infantile & I leave that sort of shite to numpties like Neville & Carragher. It's a fair point that we are the form team going into the game but they are the better side & have proved it over the last two years.
  22. That last eight games was where we could have shown we were the best side in the league but we shat the bed. That's when top sides show themselves, when it comes to the crunch & apart from a couple of games, Arsenal kept pace with City. I'm also pretty sure Arsenal fans will have some bad decisions they can point to last season. Saying we should have had a penalty here or there when we finished a good few points behind them is pretty desperate stuff.
