He's been fucking great but has not had the benefit of any rotation so I think we've seen some fatigue set in the last month or two. He is definitely up to the standard required IMO but we need another top midfielder to come in this summer, a replacement for Endo who Slot trusts in there & who can share some of those defensive duties. As Chris has pointed out, I don't think we need to be tearing the whole season apart due to the PSG loss. Even if we were, Gravenberch would be one of the last players I'd be looking at.

I really hope we can win this within 90 minutes, extra time again here could be a killer. Assuming Konate is fit, Quansah can fill in at RB & I think the rest of the team picks itself what with Gakpo looking like something out of a 70s zombie film on Tuesday night. Into these Geordie bastards.

Trent is one of the most talented players I've seen in a red shirt but then you think back to that Man Utd game a couple of months ago & do we really want players who are liable to turn in a performance like that? Strolling around 15 yards up the park while one of our most hated rivals are creating a goal on his side of the defence, it was fucking disgraceful. FWIW, I thought Tuesday night was one of his best ever games for us, he was phenomenal.

The atmosphere has only ever been great at big games or European nights since I started going in 1986. It's a bit of a myth if we're being honest & it's probably getting worse all the time with the reasons being mentioned in this thread. Another thing is it depends where your seat is, if I was in The Kop, I'd be singing my heart out with everyone else but in the lower Kenny or somewhere & you'd look like a loon if you were sitting singing away. I'd imagine most people are like this whether they're born in Liverpool or Louisiana.

I've been saying all season Real Madrid will win it & given they've won it about 300 times, I think 'tedious' is about right. The tournament was tedious at 7.59pm last night & it's still tedious now, as has been the case for years. When we win it, I'm very happy but it's still tedious.

I mean, I'm going to celebrate if my team win a trophy but I can still be objective about the way the tournament is run/set up.

It was a great and much fairer tournament back in those days & up until 1992. Now it's a giant pile of steaming shite & if you look at my posts, you'll say I've been saying that for years.

People keep saying he's a confidence player but he's not as he never goes on a run of scoring goals. He's just unpredictable & not the sort of unpredictable you can start every week. He's the 'not very good' kind of unpredictable. Having said that, I like the lad & wish him well & the people who have reportedly sent him death threats in the last 24hrs can go & boil their faces, the cunts.

I think he's done well when asked to play since the turn of the year. Just as well as with Trent & Konate hobbling off last night, we are going to need him.
