His amateur dramatics that allowed Leicester to go on and score against us in the League Cup should have seen him hounded out for good!

InsideAnfield showed the reverse angle of that and he was clearly tripped.

One thing I've noticed about Trent is he always seems to be spectacularly bad in pre-season games. His performance vs Napoli at Murrayfield suggested he was off his nut on jellies.

It's possible some of us are reading too much into these glorified training sessions.

Problem is he carried that form into last season.

Sorry I don’t know what thread to ask this. I’ve been using an IPTV called Mongiclub and tried to renew today but heard nothing back yet. Can anyone please recommend one that’s still working, (pretty much entirely for watching football).? Cheers

Try this thread in the TNF forum

I think the inverted full back thing is fine against poor teams where we have 60 odd per cent possession, but any team with a bit of quality will be rubbing their hands together.

It looks like it fixed the lack of offensive output from RB, but hasn't helped with the defensive vulnerabilities.  We still haven't made any changes which would shore up the right side, so we can expect more of the same.

I think our current midfielders actually can, it’s just the forwards that have been too sloppy on the ball. All of Trent, Curtis, Mac Allister are good enough and press resistant enough for us to keep control.

The openness of our right side hasn't improved since last season and is as much the problem as our midfield/forwards.

Both come from high pressing teams already and are particularly noted for their tactical intelligence.

Andy Robertson came from relegated hull via Dundee United, and Fabinho had only played a couple of seasons in midfield after beginning as a right back and had played exclusively in a double pivot 4-2-3-1, and has said himself this change was drastic took him a while to adapt

Whole new midfield with no teething problems, good luck with that.

Think this pressing thing is overstated. Szoboszlai and McAllister will both be fine to learn the press. Fabinhos role as the 'lighthouse' was one that was very hard to master and took time, but given we don't play that way any more I don't see it as such an issue.

Was an issue for robbo and fab, took them 6 months to gear up for the first team.  How can you be so sure Szoboszlai and McAllister are going to rock up and fit in immediately esp. if the experienced pros are all gone.  3 midfielders all trying to get up to speed at the same time is going to be tricky.
