  1. I'm pretty sure i've never been, and if I had I don't remember. In truth I had always called the Duck & Rice the Duck & Waffle assuming it was the same place I stumble into everytime I'm in Soho.
  2. Fuck that off, Baz. Get to the Duck & Rice, order three portions of the venison puffs, to be delivered every half hour until you fall over, and a really good IPA or seven. You won't regret it. EDIT: That looks fucking awful and worse than most of the shite you post from Euston Rd cafes, and I wager thrice the price.
  3. ‘We are treating more adults than ever in NHS mental health’ Yeah, unpick that and ask why? Years of struggle, stigma and demonisation through you and the compliant media. Reducing ‘illness’ to an homogeneous whole so you can posture on a ‘hard work pays off’ platform while you benefit more than anyone from ‘benefits’ of government largess. Tax loopholes, write downs, front end investment, all ‘benefits’ this government doesn’t seem to have a problem with and they cost far, far, far fucking more than some broken people whose lives are utterly fucking miserable due to policies, actions and words of you and your fucking ilk, you rancid, vapid, vicious, little shit imp. Fuck off.
  4. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose… Look back in any paper since they were created and it was ever thus. Always a war, always a famine, always a storm and always a drought. We were as outraged by the last one as we are by this one, we’ve just suppressed it to allow us to psychologically continue to continue to drag our sorry arses out of bed everyday to make a small group wealthy and get our day of leisure from the toil. Life is suffering, always has been, always will be. Happy Friday!
  5. Sadly, they’d done their homework and knew what we’d do, we’re predictable but most can’t handle us when we’re firing. They pressed individually in spaces they knew we’d try to occupy and exploited the gaps made with quick breaks on turnovers. Our passing was off, but that wasn’t the full story, they don’t allow us the time, space or sight to do what we’d normally do. An excellent tactical performance from them. We were out thought and second best.
  6. Excellent performance and a well deserved victory by Atalanta. I'm going to fucking bed.
  7. Out with a couple of people I work with a few weeks back, I’ve been working with them for six months at this point. Guy I speak to everyfuckingday says ‘I travelled a lot as a teenager, so saw loads of the world.’ ’Oh, really, why?’ ’My uncle was in a band, so we’d travel with him on the big tours somethimes’ ’Big tours?’ ’Yeah, with my uncle Malcom’ ’Malcom?’ ’Young, from AC/DC, do you listen to them?’ **flanberghasted** Silence for about ten minutes. Me ‘Why the fuck do you not open with that???’
  8. Soupe à l'oignon… …C’est tres bon!
  9. Nothing new, every nation that’s been there has blood on their hands to some degree. None have left it in a better state than they found it.
  10. Gold and influence. Also, Sudan provides a lot of raw ingredients and staples for food. Theres a significant export market from Sudan in wheat, flour etc. which the UAE doesn’t grow itself. Should add that the UAE are helping both sides, in theory, with alliances of sorts. The Abu Dhabi family are the biggest disruptors and have firmly planted their flag with the militia and are financing and helping them. So it’s more complicated than just the UAE as there are internal differences and disputes there as well, essentially it’s a bit of a pissing contest between cousins on who can extract most from Sudan.
  11. Sudan War Monitor do a very good job and is pretty objective, but with the difficulties of getting in and actually documenting the worst will be discovered once the war, finally, finishes. https://sudanwarmonitor.com/ I still get some of dispatches from missions and embassies from time to time, but even then it’s still pretty sparse.
  12. One year ago on Monday the bombs stated falling. The world literally doesn’t care, there were marches and vigils in London over the weekend which were, relatively, well attended, but the world has pretty much turned its back and is waiting for it to sort itself out. Was texting a mate the other day, he’s been living in stables since last year, and they’re just getting on with life. The militia visit them from time to time but there’s nothing left to steal. Remarkable resilience and I can’t wait to raise a glass with him, and others, once this horror show is over.
  13. 0-9 then back to the league with our tails up. No fucking about. If brown envolopes have to change hands, sobeit, play the cunts at their own game.
  14. So do they, that’s the bigger wheeze…
  15. You just know that when Pickford walks over to a table in the canteen everyone sat at it has suddenly had enough and lost their appetite and gets up to leave. Guarantee he’s not been invited out by anyone in the first team for a drink.
  16. Just called for the abolition of the Supream Court. 'We should abolish it. Another important change, which I didn’t fully appreciate until I became lord chancellor, was the fact that previously the lord chancellor was appointed by the prime minister and was responsible for appointing senior judges. Now, who appoints the senior judges? It’s a quango, it is the Judicial Appointments Commission and what de facto happens is the judiciary have become a self-perpetuating oligarchy because the current lord chief justice has a lot of say over who his or her successor is. So what we’ve done is created a system that has undermined the core of the British Constitution, which is parliamentary sovereignty.' Goin' out with a bang is Liz.
  17. I'm going half a day, max, before he's done for contempt of court.
