    Mario Balotelli

1 goal in his last 19 prem appearances. It might be understandable if he was playing for Crystal Palace but for Man City and Liverpool? it's nowhere near a good enough goal return for a centre forward in a top four side. He dos'nt score enough goals and unfortunately i can't see that changing.

I'd prefer to just out him.

You don't say anything you just hit em over the head with a baseball bat.

Why does that Woody Allen film come into my head, Annie Hall. Diane Keaton "why you got a baseball bat?" Allen "Nazi's" Keaton " why not engage or stay away from them?" Allen " i prefer the baseball bat"

    Sakho

May not be world class but he looked good for France in the World Cup. He's made a few mistakes but they all have. Having a keeper who dos'nt command his area and a lack of a midfield shield can't help.

    Adam Lallana

Southmpton are a well scouted club, this much is true. Spurs bid for Sheidelin, Man utd paid 27mil for their left back. Arsenal paid big money for Chambers. We bought their captain and player of the year. yep he must be shit.
  7. This morning pointed out my dilemma. I turn on the tv to see the tories planning to stop under21s claiming dole, housing benefit. They were hooping and hollowing and smirking and backslapping. I live in a marginal lab/tory seat. I haven't voted labour for many years, however if a kid of 16 near where i live leaves school, dosent have a vote, works for two years, pays tax, gets laid off and then is refused benefits so is made homeless can i look at him and tell him i did not use my vote to get the tory out? It's stick with the moral high ground and vote for the party you believe in or vote tactically to get the tories out. I'm not voting for Labour, im voting to get the tories out.

The mans a stooge. All a ploy to deflect the agenda away from discussing what the tories are planning for the next five years at their party conference.
  9. Not sure who signs the players these days with this funnyball thing, but I'll have a go at guessing. My basic interpretation of moneyballl is moving on older players on big contacts and replacing them with younger players on less wages who's value will hold or increase with time. Borini... Rodgers Allen... Rodgers Assaidi... Funnyball Sturidge... Both Aspas.. Moneyballl Alberto.. Moneyball Mingnolet.... Rodgers Sahko... Moneyballl Illori... Moneyballl Can.... Moneyballl Lambert.. Rodgers Lovren.... Rodgers Lallana... Rodgers Moreno... Rodgers Manquillo.... Moneyballl Markovic.... Moneyballl Players out... Almost all main players out, Carrol, Dowing, Shelvey, Agger were imo Rodgers bar Suarez who was determined to leave. Hope that clears it up.

Labour have mentioned it although they fiddle the figures themselves, both major parties do. As for students making wrong career choices, that's a lot of students, If they all went into certain fields the amount of vacancies would not change one iota so the number of graduates working in call centres would also be exactly the same. It would make no difference. Maybe they should all give up their courses and train to be welders.

    Moneyball signings v Rodgers signings?

The time when Sahko and Illori turned up when we already had Agger, Skirtle, Coates, Wisdom, Toure made me wonder.

    Moneyball signings v Rodgers signings?

I'd guess about 90% of managers say they are in total control of transfers, the reality is another thing altogether.

You think the unemployment figures can't be fiddled? Zero hour, part time jobs, are not included for a start. The tuc estimated the real unemployment figures at over 6mil. As for "opportunities in abundance" tell that to university graduates working in call centres. Or they could always get a job in a coffee shop until something more suitable comes along.. Or maybe not... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/more-than-1700-people-apply-for-just-eight-jobs-at-costa-coffee-shop-8501329.html

    Jordan Henderson appreciation thread

I thought he played very well yesterday, i think Gerrard pushing up a bit further forward instead of chatting to our goalie helped him and the team, also Lallana hustling their back four meant he could stay on the front foot and take control in the middle of the park instead of running around in our own half putting out fires

Cameron: "Cuts will change our way of life"

We seem to be starting from the wrong place here. Do you honestly believe the govt unemployment figures? Do you believe the bullshit of jobs for all those who genuinely want one. Do you believe youngsters who go into training/higher education automatically get a job? Do you believe the govt spin? Do you believe it's that simple? An ever increasing number of "jobs" (if you can call them that) are part time, zero hour, govt funded, dead end bullshit who's purpose is to provide a ready supply of cheap labour and help massage the unemployment figures. The fallacy that you just go on some scheme, or uni course and come away with a worthwhile career is laughable. As the saying goes. Question...Where's the best way to go? Answer... fuck knows, but i wouldn't start from there. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/benefit-reforms-are-hiding-the-true-number-of-unemployed-9132110.html

    Moneyball signings v Rodgers signings?

Not sure. A lot of clubs tell the manager his budget and ask what areas of the side he would like to strengthen, scouts then look for suitable players for those positions within the budget. Who then gets the final say is the question, the best way i can think to sum it up is Rafa's famous quote "i wanted a table and they bought me a lamp' or something like that. In a global game and with the amount of money involved, add in the Kenny/Comolli signings i doubt the Americans who hold the purse strings allow Rodgers free range on all signings.

    Moneyball signings v Rodgers signings?

I didnt mean Ayre decided on signing Moreno, ie playing ability. What i meant was the amount of effort Ayre put in to get him seems like Rodgers was very keen to get him, otherwise they would have just moved on to another target.

    Moneyball signings v Rodgers signings?

Not so sure on that, I'd bet Rodgers did not pick Sahko and Illori to name two.

    Moneyball signings v Rodgers signings?

I knew i missed someone out, that's fucked it now. Yes, Courtinio moneyballl. I wasn't sure on Moreno, was going to put both but as Ayre seemed determined to get him and Rodgers seemingly unhappy with the left back slot i went for Rodgers.

Tell that to the bankers who needed bailing out with our money.

Cameron: "Cuts will change our way of life"

I might be naive about this but i thought if a young person works, pays tax and then finds themselves unemployed its his right to claim unemployment benefit. A hypothetical situation, kid leaves school, joins army at 16, goes to iraq, leaves army at 19, can't find job, after six months kids housing and unemployment benefit stops. http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/sep/28/david-cameron-welfare-youth-unemployment
