I have watched it, imo as usual Reeves offers little to the debate. I've mentioned my thoughts in my post above. As for Starmer/Labour it's perfectly healthy to have veiws on their policies whoever the leader. Example it's perfectly reasonable to ask questions when a high ranking member of the Labour Party opens his arms to Thatcherites. I thought Corbyn's foreign policy was disastrous, so my scepticism is not just confined to the current leadership. Blind faith is unhealthy.

The only way to control immigration and have a grown up workable policy that's fair to all and humane to asylum seekers is to form a workable alliance with France. A system that ensures people coming to the country have a safe passage and are then delt with quickly and fairly by the home office when they arrive in Britain. All this bullshit by politicians of all side is crude unworkable dogwhistleing.

Truss is apparently going to say the financial turmoil caused this past week will be worth it and shaking up the system was all part of the plan. Unfortunately and alarmingly on her second point she's probably telling the truth. She's a fucking moron,

Yep, Birmingham Council have now declared a state of emergency similar to Covid because of the cost of living crisis. The councillor is on Sky now talking about it and its fucking grim.

Further back the deaths caused by Thatchers all out attack on the working class were off the scale.. the below link does not even take into account suicides amongst men under 30 went up a massive 30% after she came to power and a large proportion who made it through were rewarded with a life not much worse than death. The below estimate of 2.500 premature deaths a year does not even take into account deaths by other means such as above mentioned suicides. Just had a half time look at that video. Any comment on what the Labour fella said on Newsnight about Thatcherites being welcome in the modern day Labour Party. Or is that immaterial?

The Tories are now so far right wing that they make Ian Dunkum Smith sound sensible.. and that takes a lot of doing. Smith is obviously 100% correct. Its a no brainer not only from the humanitarian aspect but also it benefits the country economically. Almost every penny of benefit money gets spent and goes back into and so helps the local shops and area.

Truss speaks of Thatcher but Thatchers cabinet had political heavyweights such as Ken Clarke, Heseltine, Knott, Carrington, Whitelaw, Major, Tebbit, Prior, Howe etc. This current mob are the tory backswill.
