  1. Shows how weird things are with the Tories right now but it could be argued the first candidate to be eliminated in the tory leadership election is now the most important politician in the country, relegating the person who won the contest down into second.
  2. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/politics/rachel-reeves-says-she-is-pleased-jeremy-corbyn-is-not-prime-minister-3667288 How's the alternative going Rach?
  3. She's useless. Her economic policy is similar to the Tories and revolves almost entirely on growth. Fair enough growth is vital but wealth distribution and inequality has been the main anchor weighing us down for decades. Poor people spend money in their communities so fuelling growth because they have no other choice, they have little disposable income, that's why we're crying out for a progressive tax and benefits system. Unfortunately we're not going to see it under Reeves. She put forward a windfall tax totalling 600 quid for the lowest paid, her opposite number Sunak (right wing) dragged his feet but ended up trumping her by granting £1200. It sort of summed Reeves up. She could easily walk across the floor of the house and fit in with the Conservatives. Instead of being papped at high society events drinking champagne with Sunak, Truss etc it'd be nice if she visited and spoke to more of the families effected by the cost of living crisis, they're the people she represents. I find her underwhelming in almost every interview I've seen, whoever the interviewer. But our Rach is for another thread, I don't want to derail giving Truss a kicking.
  4. Absolutely fucking useless at answering questions as well. Despite what bollocks the Labour shills may say.
  5. Correct. The Tories will never call an election they know they will lose. No chance.
  6. Jimmy Krankies wasted no time in taking the piss, ignore her Liz she just wants the attention,
  7. Civil war incoming. Nads got one hand on the keyboard the other on the gin. She's retweeting this,
  8. Jeremy Corbyn apparently. Brought back from the political wilderness it says. Sorry Jeremy Hunt, read it wrong on the ticker.
  9. No I didn't say it made him immune from criticism its just another small thing that imo makes the decision seem odd, especially as their seems no irregularities to explain a trigger vote. I don't live in West Derby either, I don't live in Liverpool but that hasn't stopped me hearing some of the good things done by this MP regarding social issue's.
  10. We live in an age where the Daily Star has proved this past decade to be the most astute newspaper in Britain in regard to politics.
  11. Maybe they didn't get the award for being a suitable Labour MP but for the work done to benefit their constituents. Hasn't Byrne done a lot of good work in West Derby on issues such as food poverty?
