She's useless. Her economic policy is similar to the Tories and revolves almost entirely on growth. Fair enough growth is vital but wealth distribution and inequality has been the main anchor weighing us down for decades. Poor people spend money in their communities so fuelling growth because they have no other choice, they have little disposable income, that's why we're crying out for a progressive tax and benefits system. Unfortunately we're not going to see it under Reeves.
She put forward a windfall tax totalling 600 quid for the lowest paid, her opposite number Sunak (right wing) dragged his feet but ended up trumping her by granting £1200. It sort of summed Reeves up. She could easily walk across the floor of the house and fit in with the Conservatives.
Instead of being papped at high society events drinking champagne with Sunak, Truss etc it'd be nice if she visited and spoke to more of the families effected by the cost of living crisis, they're the people she represents.
I find her underwhelming in almost every interview I've seen, whoever the interviewer. But our Rach is for another thread, I don't want to derail giving Truss a kicking.
