    Player Valuation: Free Transfer

Only problem with that is...he is Mario balotelli

My hope would be that the thought of playing in the prem would keep him behaving. I’m also going to be naive and say I think there are few teams across the prem that have a team and fan base that have made more players fall in love and respect a team more than Everton.

Biggest downside is his attitude and we don’t need him infecting the locker room.

Just read we only beat them once in the league in the 80's ,jesus, knew it was bad but not that bad.

Seems like it is twice but yeah still grim.

1-0 in 82 at the toilet

    1-0 in 88 at ours.

Staggering record that considering how good we were then and how bad they were.

I get what you mean, but I don't think we are the same team anymore.

A couple of seasons ago we'd play decent vs the top clubs because they'd actually try to play football with us. And we'd cock up vs the shite who play hoof ball. With united playing like Stoke on steroids to fuck us up.

Last season we improved on that a bit and managed to brush aside most of the dross, still slipped up vs united like, but we definitely improved.

This season the only teams who have even manged to draw with us are Chelsea, City, and Arsenal, none of which play like united do. And we've comfortably shafted the hoofers who would normally be the kryptonite.

Klopp is a clever fucker, he's always learning and always improving, not just the playing staff but his tactics, we're evolving into something even united can't stop.

Good points - let's hope we bum them dead hard, the fucking horrible fucking rats.

I do take your points - the worry with these is yes they are alehouse but with quality to hurt us at the end of their alehouse attacks..Rashford and Martial have been a fucking nightmare v us. Lump it at Elbows and two pacey runners looking for the scraps he wins.

Read today our front 3 don't have a single assist our goal between them for us v these...a staggering stat.

    Time to change it.

  4. Their style of play is absolute kryptonite for us.

Add in our defensive crisis and it has all the makings...

    Bus parked....bypass midfield...

Long lumped  diagonal ball targeting a Lovren error that exposes an old slow midfielder playing right back who will have a pacy kid running at him and behind him.

Dreading it - despise games versus these fucking rats.

All that said we have been good this season - just hope this patched up defence does not give them a big fucking target to expose.

Far from ideal, but we still have our  two best defenders fit in Van Dijk and Robertson.

Milner won’t let us down at full back.

Klopp said in August that Fabinho can play centre half, so I guess he’s third choice there for now. Maybe that kid Phillips will get a run against Wolves in the cup.

Phillips is fucked as well isn't he?

The worry with changes to the defence is that we have been playing a really high line and doing it really well, but very tight. That comes from players being really well drilled and practiced at it....start throwing players like Fabinho into that line who aren't used to it and just a tiny fraction off and we are exposed.

Also with games thick and fast over this period we have no room at all for any further knocks.

We'll just have to dig in and get on with it - feels like typical of us that just as we start to look likely we get a frigging injury crisis and an injury crisis right on a tough run of games, both manc sides and arsenal in space of 3 weeks.

  6. Even Phillips is crocked.

The 21-year-old defender would be the next in line but he's been hampered by an Achilles problem this season. He hasn't featured for Liverpool Under-23s since going off at half-time in the mini derby at Goodison last month.

For anyone else wondering about how it falls with our league fixtures.

    First leg

    12–13 & 19–20 February 2019

    Second leg

    5–6 & 12–13 March 2019

Looks like its either first leg right before United, or second leg right after Everton.

Fucks sake - seems to always fall that our biggest league games fall around european cup games.

I suppose city will have fucking fulham and southampton!

How and when did the challenge happen?

Literally right on whistle Matip and Koulibaly went up for a header and Koulibaly absolutely flew into him smashed him to deck.

Matip lay there for ages but as full time whistle blew as it happened and the chaos that followed nobody focused on it.

Fucking hell. I know it’s not his fault, but it so frustrating.

2 fit senior centre halves going into a stupidly busy christmas and new year period where we have to play both manc clubs and arsenal is not good.

Add in TAA maybe being out too and it is a real worry.

Be interesting to see what Klopp does.

We are going to see Fabinho and Milner in defence for certain and kids on bench too I would guess.

If we get a knock or two on top we are in bother.

Fractured collarbone, out for six weeks. Quite a blow as Matip on current form is clearly a better player than Lovren, at least with our tactics and style of play.

Shame he can’t stay fit, I doubt he’s got the body to play at this level.

To be fair to him he was on the receiving end of a heavy clattering from that Koulibaly - looked like a terrible challenge.

  11. 5th Dec - Joe Gomez ruled out for six weeks 8th Dec - Nathaniel Clyne ruled out for multiple weeks 11th Dec - Trent Alexander-Arnold out injured 11th Dec - Joel Matip ruled out for six weeks Fit defenders: Dejan Lovren Virgil Van Dijk Andrew Robertson Alberto Moreno

I’ve never been a big fan of his, but he played very well last night. Hope he’s okay cos he deserves to keep his place.

We need him at the moment - be a big blow to have him out now
