So after todays heroics i suppose they are only a player or two short of being title challengers again. Got a text off a bitter mate saying "Job done"........."fancy having to work on a sunday, kid" was my reply.

Was that Guardiola's first season? Think it was - was always going to be a bit of settling in period. I do however think we are fucking cursed when it comes to winning this league again and not winning it this season with probably our highest ever points total will be a very bitter pill to have to swallow. 2014 hurt and hurt big time - this has potential to be even worse.

To be fair this isn't really a great opportunity tossed away....a great opportunity tossed away would be like challenging that Leicester team who won league with a measly 81 points. We'll probably get more points than Arsenal's Invincibles - we'll amass a points total that would win the league 99 times out of 100.....but we sadly are up against a team who have put the bar at a ridiculous height and made the ask required fucking stupid. We've put together what would be a title winning season in normal circumstances...sadly these are not normal times - as evidenced yesterday when a team AT HOME failed to register a single attempt off or on goal or even blocked, and failed to register even a corner...they sat in their own half and watched City play. We are going to get done by a financially doped team. It is like running 9.58 secs in the Olympic 100m final (current world record) and being beat by some twat juiced up to his eyeballs who runs 9.50

On another note after the glow of putting a spanner in our works has faded i would be spewing if i was an evertonian.........their team has clearly short changed them all season and failed to put a proper shift in week after week.

Crossing halfway would be a start. They aren't even attempting to win the ball off city, hence the possession stats. Just happy to sit and sit and keep score down.

Not a single attempt on goal either from Bournemouth - on or off target. Absolute shite.

83% possession for Citeh at Bournemouth so far. Bournemouth have had zero attempts at goal and have rarely made it out their own half.

I know there is all this 'danger to an opponent' etc but he won the ball clean and to do so his foot had to be a certain height - didn't look to me like he followed through on purpose just a collision caused by momentum (you can't just stop can you) and the other player being there trying to win it. Not sure should be reds those sort of tackles.

Even the weather does not want us to win title. Snow v leicester recently made game awkward - now potentially this. With the state of the pit i wouldn't be surprised if got called off due to flying timber.

I agree and of course only way to get it off our backs is to finally get over the line. I honestly believe if we do it this year that we will likely win another couple in next 5 years. But if we don't do it this year I fear we may be waiting still in 5.

Come on, Steve lad....was expecting more analysis about why speedy mo isn't good enough to beat their world class defenders. More on how man for man we can't match them, how take away our 30 odd pts this season and there is nothing between us etc.
