  1. City now. Dominoes...FSG still on the fence. For now. How the fuck do they come back from this?
  2. So as it stands we can never win Big Ears again. We can never participate or win the European Cup/Champions League again. The history of our football club is based on those iconic European nights, and they are now no more. I was in Madrid and will never be able to replicate nights like that again. That’s what FSG have signed us up too. I hope they rot in hell.
  3. Similar performance to last season there where we dogged it out until Bobby’s late winner. Trent v Neto was comfortably won by the supposedly can’t defend for toffee full back. I usually castigate refs but thought Pawson was decent tonight. That challenge in the 1st minute would have been given against us in normal circumstances. He’s obviously not in the WhatsApp group.
  4. What the fuck are the coaching staff doing during the week? Do they honestly look at our centre backs and think yes they can play a high line? Are they expecting Bobby to magically turn the clock back to 12-18 months ago? Do they not realise the strength of our midfield is high energy and physicality not slow, sideward passing? Doesn’t bode well for Lijnders to be JK’s replacement as he’s just as culpable. And that decision to sub Mo not Firmino on 60 minutes? Scandalous. Questions need asking, injuries or not.
  5. Carragher is in last chance saloon with Sky after his spitting incident. He’ll tow the line even if it means him going against us. Sold out. And although Kabak is not the answer the way he slaughtered him all game was a disgrace.
  6. Couldn’t agree more on Tydlesley & McCoist. It was as if it was a privilege to be there for them. McCoist was the same at the Derby 12 months ago. Clive even called a pen for Mo in the second half. As opposed to the sly digs from Tyler & co we usually hear. Even Scholes was complimentary afterwards. And Coady is a cock. There’s been examples before of his knobhead behaviour (swapping ends in the title decider in May 19 so we attacked the Kop first half for one.) What ‘Red’ would have done that?
  7. McManaman was a fucking disgrace tonight. You wouldn’t believe he’s a part time staff member of our club.
  8. Arsenal 89. Just before my 14th birthday. After everything that had happened I couldn’t believe it would end in that way. Niagra falls. Seeing my old man with tears in his eyes summed it up. Munsters 96. The worst final ever against that fucking lot and that collared twat scored a goal that our players did their best to avoid. This was pure anger as one of our most talented 11’s froze on the big occasion. Palace 14. Yes the damage was done the week before but I still believed it was written in the stars and when we went 3 up I felt we had momentum back. And then we capitulated. It was the only time in 13 years of marriage the wife actually left me alone after the final whistle to my own thoughts. I just led there on the living room floor for over an hour looking at the ceiling silently. Equally gutted as my eldest was about to witness his first league title. Kiev 18 - watched it at Anfield with 2 of my 3 boys. I was gutted more for them as I desperately wanted them to see us win the “big one” and their first real trophy win. Never forget the language of my eldest towards Ramos... Would have finished with City v Leicester but 24 hours later put that to bed...
  9. Spot on with Coady. He was giving it some with his celebration too for their disallowed goal. Never forget him swapping ends at kick off last game of the season. Another bitter supposed Red like Murphy?
  10. Would it surprise anyone that the VAR referee is....Mike Dean....of course he was going to be the first VAR ref to make a call from the office!
  11. 4 years ago today, the day that changed us as a football club. What a ride this wonderful bloke has taken us on. Long may it continue.
  12. Where can you find someone out there with his attitude, ability, leadership & experience? He’s the ethos of our club under Klopp and for me our dressing room would be a poorer place without him. Get him signed up until 2022 with an option to add him to the backroom staff. Oh, and he needs a song...
  13. It’s been said before but wish he was 5 years younger. Needs a song, and it sung loud and proud. As does the skipper’s.
  14. Awful news. Was in Madrid watching the game with other ex Spurs players by all accounts. Went to the gym on Monday and collapsed. Tragic. You just never know what’s around the corner.
  15. I was at the County game as two of my boys were part of the line up group prior to kick off. It was amazing sat amongst the kids how many were singing our version not Newport’s. BTW Flynny is a massive Red. Hope we draw them next, tomorrow pending obviously...
  16. Varane at CB as there's still a question mark over Gomez (at the moment), or De Bruyne in midfield. Once Fabinho and Naby get into their normal gears, De Bruyne added to them would make the perfect midfield 3. Personally I wouldn't improve any other position which shows the job JK has done in 2 years.
  17. A reliable partner for VVD, Keita & another centre mid, and a front 3 player. Big decision on the keeper situation. I’m still not 100% convinced with Karius, yet...
  18. Kirsty Gallacher was done for drink driving last year. She had a mini sabbatical and then returned. He’ll be reprimanded but not sacked. For Sky, him & Neville are their X Factor pundits.
  19. The last few years have taught us you cannot rely on Mignolet, Moreno or Lovren. They will always let you down. God forbid, VVD gets injured as you know Lovren will revert to type without a babysitter. He will never change. That’s why a reliable partner for VVD is a must, someone who can cope if the big man is missing.
  20. They’re damaged goods. They will, if not all together, but individually have numerous more fuck ups that will cost us goals/points until moved on. Our defence over the past 4 years has been woeful, they are a constant in that period.
  21. Felt exactly the same when I saw the line up. Lovren shat himself, no ifs no buts. Is there anyone on international duty apart from Mo & Bobby we would really miss?
  22. As we all knew except those at the club who get paid to make the important decisions, the shitfest of a transfer window is truly manifesting itself with our results and performances. What I want to know is who is truly to blame for it, FSG for continuing to provide minimal funds to improve our squad and hoping for a miracle again, or Klopp's inability to recognise the importance of a strong spine for a team to be able to challenge and persisting with a lot of shite that should have been binned off?

  24. Blame that on 3 jugs of Sangria. Apologies!
