  1. Can't really argue with any of the nominees for the players shortlist. Ribery should walk it though. He's been superb this year and won the treble. Some of the managers nominated are baffling, however. Del Bosque, Mourinho and Wenger are all hugely questionable for me. Del Bosque's Spain were destroyed by Brazil in the Confederations Cup, Mourinho alienated some key players at Real and scraping into fourth on the final day shouldn't class Wenger as one of the ten best managers of the past twelve months. I'd suggest Simeone, Jesus and Pellegrini should be there instead.
  2. Metzelder. Brilliant defender when he was younger and performed well in two World Cups. Terrible luck with injuries though, especially at Real.
  3. Went watching it last night. Absolute genius. Completely agree with RobbieOR, this is the best Partridge has been since the first series.
  4. Naples - Worst place i've ever been to. All of the refuse collectors were on strike so there were huge piles of rubbish all over the place. Saw a fair few rats in the streets too. Complete dump, then you factor in the locals. Lads following us everywhere hoping to get one of us on our own to do us in and rob us, fair few pickpockets about and fans of a certain sport looking to get a few slashes in. Absolute fucking toilet that's home to a cacophony of fucking cunts. Skopje - I actually really enjoyed Skopje. A fair bit to see and do and we found a few decent enough bars, had great couple of days there. Doubt i'll return there just because it's a bit of a pain in the backside to get to. We had to take a six hour bus ride from Sofia to get there and do the same coming back. Trabzon - Again a place I enjoyed but to get there means connecting through Istanbul. For the same price i'd rather go and experience a new place. Minsk - Really cheap beer and vodka but the visa is a pain in the arse.
  5. Can't believe nobody's mentioned David Alaba yet. Bayern LB, he's been absolutely phenomenal this season. On a similar note Bayern's summer signing Dante has been one of the key reasons for their success this term. Fantastic organiser.
  6. Think tonight's result has finished off QPR and Reading are too far off to survive either. Wigan - Villa final day could be decisive, though I think Wigan will have sealed survival by then since they do tend to go on a run this time of year. Aston Villa will go for me.
