    Other football 2016/17.

Lee Trundle was very talented and a bit of a maverick throwback. Yaya Youre's agent is a prick.

Someone's having a real laugh - shitcoat to Utd.

We'll see where man city are in the second half of the season, when they could still be in four competitions and more than likely battling it out for the champions league. They are, to an extent, still reliant on Aguero to really get them to the top, but he's so injury prone (which is sad in a way, he's a brilliant player). Either way they'll probably have a lot on their plate.

    Sugar!

It is chocolate, it just has less sugar. I could eat chocolate until I put myself into a coma, so best to stay to the low sugar stuff.

    Rafael Benitez.

I'd love him to steamroller the championship.

    Synth Music

Yeah anything by john carpenter is classic. Also, love a bit of Vangelis! Something more modern - the soundtrack to It Follows by Disasterpiece is good.

Are you happy about Sadio Mané?

I know it's early, but he's my favourite footballer of all time now.

    Sick of being Fat

I'd love to do the Madcow 5x5 but I've had lower back problems for about a year, which started with my squats. Hurt it quite bad last October, then again last month. Had physio and it's a lot better now, but my posture is cr*p and my squats and deadlifts form is bad and obviously has been for years. Tried deadlifts yesterday - was going well until I put a half decent weight on, then felt the pull in my back. Never been a huge squat lifter, but it's obviously a great exercise (if you do it right and don't try and paralyse yourself).

    Sugar!

You can get a reduced sugar chocolate bar in Tesco (and I'm sure loads of other places). Milk and Hazelnut are 60% reduced sugar. The dark is 90% reduced sugar. Nice as well.

    September Spiders

I got bitten a couple of months ago. Had let the new lawn grow in the garden, was quite high, so a bit of a job. Realised a few hours later I'd been bitten on the calf. Thought nothing of it. Got worse during the night - itchy and sore. Started to swell up the next day. Was walking with a limp all day and the bite lump was getting bigger. I ended up going to the walk in centre in town, I could hardly walk! Hurt whenever I put pressure on it. Was put on antibiotics. Took a few days for the swelling to go down. Nurse said it might have been a brown spider bite. Who knows. Total pain in the a*se though.

    Upcoming Films

Looking forward to Arrival. Will give Blair Witch a whirl probably, but not expecting much. I love scary films though. Give in to the horror. It Follows and The Babadook have been my favourite films of the last year or so.

Fuck sugar, savoury is where it's at.

Sugar is the devil, keep away if you can.

    Led Zeppelin Thread

The Rain Song is probably my favourite Led Zep song.

    Adam Lallana

Glad he scored. He was unlucky with the shot that hit the inside of the post. From what I saw he seemed England's best player. He put through a lovely ball for Henderson, but poor old Jordan was still working out which foot went first. Hopefully this might be the season he starts putting chances away.
  16. We're a good stepping stone for Mane. Hopefully we'll get £80m for him in a year or two from a team who wants to win things. Nice big profit. The money will add an extra wing to John and Linda's holiday home in the Hamptons.

China Crisis and Wishful Thinking - by Jeff Goulding

I stopped watching other footy teams a few years ago. Is it just me who hates the phrase "Boss Tha"?

    Mario Balotelli

At the time I thought a front three of Sturridge, Balotelli and Sterling could have been good. I also seem to remember him having a decent game up front with Lambert against Hull a couple of years ago. Of course, we didn't score, as was the style at the time.

    Transfers summer 2016

Happy with Mane. Happy with binning off a load of dead wood. Haven't seen enough (or any) competitive minutes from karius, matip or grujic. They might turn out to be world beaters, or more deadwood, or maybe just okay. I know where the odds lie. Wijnaldum? Dunno about that one. He gets the benefit of the doubt for the season though. A decent transfer window, just not very ambitious, especially considering the TV money knocking about.

I know it's early, but I'd have to say he's my favourite Liverpool player of all times.

    John Barnes Article in Times

I haven't watched it so can't comment, but the Liverpool Echo sure does print a lot of stories about that newspaper.
